Back of Beyond is a family-owned and operated park, on a 30 acre expanse of beautiful Dorset countryside. It is a multi award winning park and has been graded 5 Star Platinum by the AA. Our woodland, heathland, lakes and river habitats support a wide range of small wild animals, deer and spectacular birdlife.
We have just 130 pitches in all this space and have gone `adults-only` to allow our guests to relax, free from disturbance, and to facilitate the development of our quality-of-life philosophy for the park. For your peace of mind, we are highly secure by location, design and technology.
For those without tents, caravans or motorhomes we have our glamping village. This includes 2 wooden lodges, 2 shepherd huts, 4 wooden camping pods and a yurt. All on Decking. All with beds, outside kitchen areas, heating, lighting, seating, storage.
Our pitches are all level, hard and mostly hardstanding. Many are fully serviced and all with grass with many water and waste points and all have hook-up of 10 amps. We welcome all touring units and tents. We have a beautiful woodland glade, Emma`s glade, which we keep free for campers wishing to get closer to the wildlife. Sorry, no dogs in this glade!
Quiet, well behaved dogs are welcome - on leads in the main park, but they can run free over 18 acres of woods and heathland on the park with secure boundaries.
Enjoy a drink at Monty`s Bar, where we serve up a variety of local brews and spirits.
Caterers visit most nights through the peak season.
