Six pitches in a lovely 2 acre park-like meadow, with shade and beautiful views. Backed by our neighbours orchard and surrounded by countryside, this cl style campsite is an oasis of calm. Though easy to find, the meadow is safely tucked away on the edge of a small hamlet with no road adjacent - the only access being through our old farm courtyard, so is a secure and quiet location.
The camping is well placed for all the areas major places of interest and attractions being midway between the lovely Vendee coast (La Tranche sur Mer/Les Sables dOlonne) and Poitiers (Futuroscope), the famous historical Parc of Puy du Fou and the lovely Venise Verte. There are, of course, many nearer places of interest and activities shown below.
For caravans and camper-vans there are six large areas with electric hook-up available but those in tents or not requiring electricty are free to pitch in any spot that appeals.
Tariff : Pitch 7€, Adult 5.00€, Child 4.00€, Electric 3€, Dog 1€ (10% discount after 14 nights stay or for repeat visitors). A local Taxe de Sejour is applicable to all persons 18 years and over at 22 centimes per night.
Service washes available (6€), free WiFi available in courtyard (table & chairs provided) and we are happy to freeze your freezer blocks for you
Breuil Barret, our village (2kms) has a boulangerie which is open every morning except Wednesdays. There is a tennis court available in the centre of the village - no charge.
Our nearest town is La Chataigneraie (6kms) and this is where to find supermarkets, bar/restaurants and banks plus on Saturday mornings, a few stalls selling vegetables, oysters etc. There is also an excellent outdoor swimming pool and tennis courts. There are many other bar/restaurants scattered around in nearby villages.

Nearby Attractions
There is so much to see and do in the Vendee (if you want to) with many attractions and places of interest within 30 mins drive.
*there are many quiet lanes and marked walking tracks plus the nearby railway has been laid to footpath/cycle track.
*A local leisure lake is just 3 mins by car - has a bar/restaurant in high season, pedaloe hire and several areas with picnic tables.
*Go-karting and treetop adventure park are just 10mins drive.
*Pescalis Fishing Centre is a similars distance, with lovely walks around the lakes and a good restaurant. From mid-June to mid September it has a thriving Sunday morning local producers market (food and crafts)
*The picturesque medieval village of Vouvant (15 mins) with its ancient tower, has a lovely walk along the ramparts and river and has several bar/restaurants.
*Mervent Forest (20mins) hides many places of interest such as a nautique centre for boat and standup paddle board hire and nearby lakeside bar/restaurant. A small, well kept zoo with an enchanting Lemur enclosure which you can walk through. Plus a huge leisur

Owner Directions
Situated just outside the village of Breuil Barret which lies on the D949bis. If travelling eastwards towards Poitiers, go through Breuil Barret, pass under the old railway bridge and we are second turning on the right after the bridge (the first is immediately after). Drive up the slight hill and as the road flattens, pass a large barn with postboxes next to it just after a small planted hedge, you`ll see a sign for camping - turn right here, into our courtyard. Please call at the house before continuing down to the camping meadow.
