One of the most stunning sites on the South Downs, and just a few miles from Brighton. Own tents and `Glamping` with an open to the sunset 16` Shepherds Hut and a stunning new 6m cabin looking south.
Bronze Age monuments provide a sense of time, and 360 degree views over Sussex a massive sense of space. Skylarks sing and other wildlife abounds.
Generous camping pitches with fire pits. Nearby clean composting Loos and Wash Block. Off grid charging, hot water for washing up (and you!) and gorgeous wolstonbury drinking water tap in barn next to carpark. Max 30 people on 54 acres.
We don`t take caravans or motorhomes, (nor camper vans - sorry) but limited parking is available.
We hope you will love this sacred land as much as our other visitors. All provisions are basic, but clean!
Solar power hot water in the barn, no smell eco green loo and 3 x stone floored washing bays with flannels provided. Washing up facilities also in barn.
Crockery and cutlery can be borrowed and other equipment hired such as futon rolls and gas rings to help those who want to come by train or bus.
Shepherds Hut - in a secluded little paddock with stunning views west, the 16′ Shepherds Hut is suitable for 2 adults and up to 2 childre*. In the winter (until May) there is a big picture window adjacent to the bed, and then for the summer, it is replaced by the original huge shutters which guests often keep open all night - falling asleep with a beautiful starscape! Provided; twin gas rings, kettle, cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery, lights, electrical socket for laptop/phone charging, cute woodburner, a little supply of wood for inside

All options include a Sacred Steps map for Wolstonbury Walking - with private access to the three Sheduled Bronze Age monuments on Chantry Farm - listed as ‘Nationally Important by English Heritage. Wolstonbury Hill is a sacred space - the perfect support for a Vision Quest. (* platform barrow 1500BC; a round barrow 2000BC and a 70m section of CrossRidge Dyke)
Chantry Farm is mainly sheep grazed, with an orchard and the beginnings of organic food production.
We don`t have a cafe or farm shop, but M&S are less than a mile down road in petrol station, Hassocks has a good range of local food, the Plough pub - 0.7 mile walk, does a great pizza.. and we can provide a hot croissant and cuppa in the morning - please ask in advance.
