Description
This is a Camping and Caravanning Club Certificated Site, which accept caravans or motorhomes and usually tents. This is a club member only site - you can usually join on site
This is an adults only site

Whitehouse Farm Campsite and riverside is situated alongside the Fossdyke Navigation Canal. (Open all year, weather permitting)
We are a small friendly campsite that prides our self on a relaxing holiday hence adult only, no large group bookings allowed.
We except club Rallies, classic car rallies etc please enquire.
From the Campsite you can walk along the lane into Saxilby village which hosts a picturesque riverside setting with moored Barges, Narrow boats and holiday boats cruising by. A picnic area in the canal basin opposite the Sun inn; ideal to watch nature, picnic or fish, tickets and License required of course.
Saxilby is a pretty medieval village and has a very interesting history of Viking invasions 839, Romans 50AD and the fishing history and much more of which you can read all about on the many noticeboards along the History canal walk. It is the oldest artificial waterway in the country and used very much by tourists, boaters and fisherman.
You can fish further along the bank where Rudd, Roach, Pike, Eels, Perch, Bream are just some of the species to be caught.
Amenities in the village comprise of two Pubs, Supermarket, village shop, cafes, Local Butcher & 3 takeaways.
There is a Village community hall with local activities & Car boots at Torksey held twice a week & Farmers Market monthly.
Attractions/sightseeing
Visit Doddington hall & gardens, take in the vast countryside and life of the old pretty nearby villages, Visit Lincoln Cathedral & Brayford waters, take a pleasure ride by boat on the river, shop on the old cobbled lanes in Lincoln city. Walk around Whisby nature reserve, pop in the cafe and peruse the water skiers, future champions on the dyed blue water or book the aqua park/inflatable fun. Burton water Marina for launching of boats and pretty marina with cafes and restaurants and much more.
You don`t need the car!
There are regular transport links to Lincoln and Gainsborough by rail with the Train station in Saxilby, Alternatively take the bus, a 6 mile journey into Lincoln for a relaxing day out.
Cycling - why not bring your cycles and cycle into the village from the campsite all the way into Lincoln or stop at the beautiful Burton waters marina.
Kayak and Paddle boards
These are permitted with the discretion of mooring owner please ask so we can arrange for you.
A flat grassy Campsite with fruit trees and bushes with some pitches over looking the River and boats.
We have pitches accommodating Caravans, Campers, Motorhomes and small tents comprising of combination hardstandings and part grass pitches 12 metres plus or total grass pitches all a very spacious 9- 10 metres wide. There are plenty of water taps, optional EHU and picnic tables to use.
Tents & pup tents
5 spacious Tent Pitches on grassy flat pitches with access to water and waste, EHU option.
Tents/We will accept small tents, single persons, couples allowed, strictly no group bookings.
Motorcycles, hikers, and pup tents all welcome.
Member discount, £25 inc EHU, non members from £27.50
No EHU members from £15, non members from £17.50
Rallies
We may accept rallies, please contact us if you would like to discuss and book your rally or meet with us.
Disability/mobility issues, we are very flat with access lane into village also flat, around mile long walk/ride into Saxilby, we have many like our site due to its access and location.
Prices/Booking info
A Typical unit is as follows, 1 unit only, of either a caravan with car, A Motor home, a Camper or a tent. 2 adults & dogs, porch awning or similar, no separate tents.
Apologies we cannot accept XLs or banned breeds due to insurance. 1 hook up if EHU required, no splitters due to fire regs insurance, no electric cars or elec patio heaters on site.
Arrival 12 pm to departure 12 pm.
28 day stays available
To reiterate, A typical unit is for 2 adults, 1 unit, 1 car, porch awning, well behaved dogs are free and must be walked off site where there are many lovely walks.
Facilities
EHU option, water, Elsan, recycling bins, picnic tables. Large pitches, hard & grass combos, all weather winter pitch for longer stay and bad weather.
Nearby Attractions
Burton Waters, Whisby Nature Reserve, Aqua Park and Cafe, Pyewipe Inn, Doddington hall & gardens, Whisby Garden centre/country store, Lincoln Castle, Cathedral, saxilby history trail, St Botophs Church, Hartsholme country park, whisby animal centre, Yarborough Leisure Centre and swimming pools, Lincolnshire Life Museum, are all within a short drive as are the pretty surrounding villages.
Just six miles from the historic city of Lincoln which hosts various tourist attractions, including the Cathedral and Lincoln Castle
