Opening Dates next year: 06/03/2025 to 15/11/2025
River View Touring Park has won many awards in recognition of the care Andy & Sian and managers, Paul & Sue, provide to their visitors and the environment.
The site is set in the beautiful countryside of Carmarthenshire whilst still within easy reach of its many attractions, the Gower Peninsular, Carmarthen and Swansea.
The south-facing site has an abundance of native trees, wildflowers, wildlife and the River Gwili flowing along part of its boundary.
We cater for caravans, tents, trailers tents and motorhomes.
Facilities
The modern toilet block has received 5 star grading by the ‘Loo of the Year organisation, with a touch of luxury - under floor heating.
In addition to the spacious showers, washbasins and toilets, there are two individual rooms catering for families and the disabled.
Pitches
The site consists of three individual areas, all are south facing. A total of 60 pitches, all with electric hook up, are generously spaced with 45 being all weather pitches and 12 of these are fully serviced.
River Meadow - Approx. 2 acres, with 28 pitches, 21 of which are all weather. This meadow has the River Gwili flowing along part of its boundary and is mainly for adults. It is also the most suitable for the physically impaired.
Gorse Meadow - Approx 0.75 acres of level ground and has 12 pitches, 9 of which are all weather, 5 of these are fully serviced. This is the smaller of the fields.
Oakwoods Meadow - Approx. 2.5 acres of gentle slope with 22 pitches, 15 of these are all weather, 7 of which are fully serviced. The boundaries of woodland and tree banks consist of native trees and some wildflowers. There is a large area for recreation in the centre of the field, making it ideal for families
Shop
Our reception office contains a small shop which sells everyday essentials including milk, bread, soft drinks, cakes, sweets for the children and some local produce such as Tregroes Waffles and Tan Y Castell Welshcakes.
Our own free range eggs are available when our chickens are in full production and we also have local bacon and sausages when available.
Food Van
In addition to the site shop, new this year is a food van called Rusty, a simple philosophy to serve only the highest quality product, prepared in a clean and sparkling environment and serve in a warm and friendly manor, serving only fresh made to order quality ingredients.
Dog Walk and Woodland Walks
River View Touring Park covers over 6 acres of our total 16 acre site and we have opened up a short woodland walk that links to our 5 acre hay meadow. This meadow is managed as an ancient hay meadow encouraging an interesting mix of wild flowers including Orchids and Whorled Caraway and is mown around the edge to provide comfortable and easy walking. These two areas provide an ideal area for dog walking or a short evening stroll.
Another walk is available across the bridge over the river and then up a track which skirts a wooded valley.
Bar and Entertainment Area
A recent addition to Riverview, located past Gorse Meadow, comprising of a mobile trailer bar a BBQ hut with seating area and central firepit for those colder evenings, outside seating areas and a covered seating area which includes a stage and big screen for events that we hold.
