Blackberry Wood Campsite is situated in beautiful, quiet Sussex countryside at the foot of the South Downs. It is a back to nature quirky site which is open all year round. We offer woodland camping along some querky accommodation including a London Double Decker bus, a search and rescue helicopter, a Fire Engine, a gypsy caravan, a designer eco cabin with all facilities and two fabulous handcrafted Treehouses,as well as our newest additions; Snugglebug Cabin and the Airstream Silver Bullet. We have around 20 camping pitches in private clearings in a woodland setting with a natural kids playground, camp fires and Bbqs are positively encouraged. Families are really welcome but we do not accept groups.
We also have an adjoining area called "Blackberry Woods on the Wild Side which offers camping in woodland clearings and a large meadow with great views of the South Downs. This is only open for summer weekends.
The area is surrounded by public footpaths and bridleways, campers are given a local map pointing out suggested walks, some to excellent local country pubs (a 1/2 hour walk).
The campsite is alive with the sound of birds and has decided this is enough noise and has a strict policy of no music or radios and no noise after 11pm.
There are toilets, hot showers and washing up areas. Logs are for sale in our campsite shop, along with other essentials, fresh local produce and ice creams.
Although the site is in the middle of the countryside it is only 10 miles or 25 mins by car to Brighton seafront.
Dogs are welcome on site for camping, as long as they are well behaved and kept on a lead at all times.
