Stunning 4 acre wild flower meadow located on the Shropshire/Powys border looking over towards Breidden Hill and Rodneys Pillar and only a stones throw away from the River Vyrnwy and River Severn.
Ideal site for people to get away from it all, quiet countryside with plenty of walks and local attractions for everyone. Or instead sit by one of 2 wildlife ponds and watch fish take fly, dragon flys and other insects as well as our resident moorhens and coots. We have an abundance of species of wildlife including and African Ibis, Red Kites, Badgers, Foxes, Sparrow Hawks , Owls as well as many farmland birds which include, Goldfinches, Bullfinches, Yellow Hammers plus many more.
This is the ideal location for campfires for those chilly nights out under the stars as there is plenty of space between pitches.
Due to the rural setting of the site theres very little light pollution in its location meaning its ideal for spotting the planets, meteors, and constellations. On a clear night you can see Venus, Iss space station and shooting stars.
We are able to offer Fishing on the River Vyrnwy and no extra cost but you must stay within our boundry and please make sure you have a fishing license before hand or there is the local post office to acquire one.
We do accept larger parties of people, in the past we have had car clubs, bird watchers, bikers and birthday parties.
The site itself is basic there is a fully flushing toilet and wash hand basin, fresh water but no electric or showers. There are plenty of local amenities within a 2 mile radius which include, 3 pubs, local shop, post office, playground and bus stop.
Within a 10 mile radius there is Shrewsbury Town, Oswestry and Welshpool for fantastic days out.
We do offer extras, you can order a takeaway home cooked farmhouse breakfast. Logs and fire lighters all at extra cost.
When travelling to the campsite please enter the postcode into your sat nav, don't not enter Cross Lanes as there are multiple Cross Lanes in the area and you may get lost... please ring if you are unsure.
