Description
Pitches: 50
Opening Dates next year: 01/05/2025 to 30/09/2025
Marfit Head Farm is ideally located on the edge of the beautiful North York Moors National Park heather moorland. (The heather is out in purple flower in August time) We boast a central location between moor and coast with good road access for exploring both the moorland and coastal delights.
The NYM area is ideal for both gentle walkers and explorers! Close to Pickering, Whitby, Goathland "Heartbeat" Country and pretty coastal bays such as Robin Hoods Bay, Runswick, Staithes & Sandsend.
We are a small, family run & friendly site set on our working dairy farm.
We offer a CL 5 van field for Caravan Club members and separate non-members mixed caravan and tent fields. Pitches are manicured with our ride on mower , large & spacious, marked out and are suitable for todays larger tent units at no extra cost. Pitches are allocated and are well spaced out to ensure everyone has their own space -we do not operate a pitch anywhere system which is why advanced booking is essential by email, facebook page or telephone 01751 460415 to secure a pitch before your arrival.
Fields are equipped with chemical emptying points, water points, refuse points and nearly all pitches have electric hook up points. Limited part hardstandings are available on the CL field.
Our mixed sex family toilet blocks are regularly cleaned and modern. Total of 5 toilets, (3 with full size wash basins),5 free showers, fully enclosed with ample room for undressing and unlimited hot water (from our biomass boiler) is all included in the price. 2 enclosed make up/ wash rooms with elec plug point for hairdryer/ straightners etc.
There are 3 full size dishwashing / veg prep sink. The blocks are heated with radiators and cleaned regularly.
We have a wooden fort childrens play apparatus with swings, slide, fort etc. Ball games are only to be played on the childrens play area, not on the camping/caravan fields.
Above ground BBQS are permitted but we do not allow fire pits or open campfires on site for fire safety reasons.
Please note we are in a rural location so there may be fluctuations in water pressure on hot days when the cows come in for milking.
