Pentwyn Dingle Rural Campsite is a peaceful Powys Site on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park and at the foot of the Black Mountains.

There are trees lining the dingle and a babbling brook running its length along one side providing an opportunity to cool off your feet.

The site is well located with two pubs in walking distance that also serve food. The picturesque book town of Hay on Wye is 4 miles away with its recently refurbished Castle. Theres opportunity to horse ride at the Site Owners pony trekking centre only a mile away. Visitors can also canoe locally on the river Wye, walk up the mountains or along the lower footpaths or simply enjoy the peace and tranquility of the area.

Facilities have been kept to a minimum with mains drinking water taps and a chemical waste disposal point (youll need to bring toilet facilities with you, and youre kindly asked to take all rubbish away with you). Raised fire pits or BBQs are permitted, please do not light fires directly on the ground.

Dogs are welcome at our site and theyll probably enjoy a paddle in the brook. Please pick up after your dog and keep them under control.

Costs are £7.50 per person per nights stay.

There are plenty of walking and bike routes to follow locally, and the owners also recommend days of canoeing on the River Wye and horse riding in the Black Mountains. Fancy mixing that up with a bit of town time? Brecon, Crickhowell and Talgarth are all nearby, and of course theres some excellent pottering to be done in the bookshops of Hay-on-Wye.
