Blackwood Hall is York's new campsite now open for both touring and seasonal visitors. Seasonal pitches are still available.
In addition to the 77 caravan/ motor home pitches, facilities will allow for tents. The site size is being limited to around 30 seasonal pitch caravans however for the foreseeabke future. Availability is therefore limited!
Site facilities include hard standing and grass pitches, washroom facilities with showers, toilets, basins, dressing areas.
Only at busy times, when there is sufficient demand, will the licensed bar be open
The caravan park is open all year with a maximum of 11 months occupancy.
WE ARE NOW ACCEPTING BOOKINGS ON A SEASONAL OR TOURING BASIS
Blackwood Hall is situated in a beautiful natural parkland setting.
The 14 acre parkland setting near York includes mature woodland and lake which will be a delight to guests. There is an abundance of wildlife including visiting Canadian geese, foxes, rabbits and squirrels.
The site is just across the road to Skipwith Common Nature Reserve, which is fully open to the public and is a great place for a few hours walk in the wilderness. Natural England offer guided walks throughout the summer for bird watches, lovers of flora & fauna and for those who just want to appreciate a unique and beautiful setting.
The secluded location, away from main roads between York and Selby it is the perfect location to explore the surrounding coast and countryside.

With York being ten minute drive, attractions include York Minster, the National Railway Museum, Jorvik Viking Centre, The Shambles, York Dungeons, the Castle Museum, shopping in York, York races, all within a short drive. Also near by is the Mc Arthur Glen designer outlet, Selby Abbey, York Maize Maze, Elvingtin Air Museum, Monks Cross Shopping Park. Waterworld Leisure Centre, Creepy Crawlies Adventure Play Centre, Yorkshire Paintball Centre.
Close to York with all it has to offer - also with good access to the coast - Scarborough, Bridlington, Filey and Whitby.
Skipwith Common lies literally across the road from this new campsite, 273.53 hectares in size, the Common is a site of special scientific interest.
