Camping Aux Memes is our small 3 star campsite of large pitches suitable for tents, caravans and motorhomes most having electricity and water. The campsite is set in 22 acres of rolling farmland and woods with large pitches having views of the Pyrenees and surrounding countryside.
There are superb showers, toilets and washing up sinks including facilities for the disabled. There is also a laundry/drying room and a shop for essential provisions. The terrace cafe/bar serves breakfast, snacks, evening meals and all day refreshments. There's a children's play area, internet access and free wi-fi on site. 4kms away is the village of Masseube with local shops, supermarket, restaurants and banks.
The area has a mild stable climate with plenty of sunshine and offers something for everyone; vibrant markets with fresh local produce, such as foie gras and Armagnac (reputedly the oldest brandy in the world); several thermal spa towns; the historic towns of Auch and Toulouse; scenic rides to the Pyrenees, Biarritz on the coast and less than 100 kms to Spain.
Nearby there are tennis courts, golf courses, horse riding and water sports including fishing, canoeing, kayaking, wind surfing and sailing.
Camping Aux Memes has been inspected and selected by Cool Camping as one of their top 100 campsites in France. It is also one of ANWB's and ACSI's inspected sites and is recommended by the Caravan Club.
The campsite is open from April to September and there is also a farmhouse Gite available to rent.
English, French and German are spoken.
