Situated where Lake, Coast and Dale unite, Riverside Caravan Park & Holiday Cottages offers you the chance to escape from the worries of life and immerse yourself in our rural retreat. Whether you`re looking for a short break or a regular bolt hole, we can offer you a blissful hideaway.
Nestled on the banks of the River Wenning in an unspoilt and delightful area, this beautifully maintained caravan park and cottages is within walking distance of the local market town of High Bentham.
The caravan park has been owned and managed by the Marshall family since the development from a green field site in the late 1960s. Over the years the park has evolved as the change in customer needs have done so, offering you a modern and fresh holiday location. The facilities are provided for holiday home owners, touring caravans, motorhomes and trailer tents. Those staying in Riverside Cottages, located at the park entrance, can also enjoy these facilities.
Riverside Caravan Park has 59 touring pitches which are all level, grassy and well drained - 12 fully serviced hard standing pitches, 15 hard standing and 32 level grass pitches. Our fully serviced pitches each boast a water stand pipe and grey waste pipe as well as adjacent gravel space for awnings or seating. All our pitches offer electric and T.V. points and complimentary Wi-Fi is available, accessible through a simple login method.
Our touring pitches are generous in size with lots of space to give you room to enjoy your holiday. The children wont struggle to burn off excess energy on our outdoor adventure playground, which is within sight of the touring area. The indoor games room will keep them entertained on those rainy days.
The sheltered and level setting straddling the banks of the River Wenning is truly superb, screened by trees and natural hillsides with excellent walks along the riverbank and in the surrounding countryside. For the more adventurous, the Yorkshire Three Peaks, which takes in Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, are very close by.
Bentham itself has plenty to offer with 3 pubs, an Indian takeaway, a Chinese takeaway, fish and chip shop, pizza takeaway plus various sandwich venues to satisfy your appetite. We have a Co-op and Spar, which are both open from 7am until 10pm daily, as well as local butchers, bakers, greengrocers and a chemist.

Owner Directions
From Lancaster and the M6:
Leave the motorway at Junction 34 on the M6. Turn onto the A683, signposted Kirkby Lonsdale. Turn right onto the B6480 after you have travelled through Claughton, signposted High Bentham. Continue along the B6480.
From the North: Cumbria and the M6.
Exit the M6 at Junction 36. Travel along the A65 (signposted to Skipton), through Kirkby Lonsdale and into Ingleton. Continue through Ingleton, along the A65 to Clapham and take the right turn onto the B6480, signposted to Lancaster. Continue along the B6480.
From Skipton and the A65:
Turn off the A65 after Clapham, following signs to High Bentham and the B6480.
