A warm welcome awaits you here at Haywood Farm, which occupies approximately 7 acres and is set next to woodland. We are a small family run caravan and camping site near Ross-on-Wye. Winners of the Tested by Tots Best Campsite Award for 2022.
Surrounded by the beautiful countryside within the Herefordshire and Gloucestershire border and a mile from a small village shop and Nepalese pub.
We have a number of touring pitches over a few fields, perfect for tents, caravan, trailer tents, motorhomes and campervans alike; some are hardstanding (gravel). VW Campervans are very welcome here. There are electric and non-electric options available. Awnings are included within the pitch fee.
Families, friends, couples, individuals and dogs are all welcome to our spacious scenic setting with a small pond and we have lots of onsite activities including a children`s play area with climbing frames and swings, a small football pitch. We also have a games room with table tennis so lots to keep the children entertained.
The site has an array of modern facilities including free hot individual showers, toilets, family bathroom and disabled facilities, a washing up area and even a communal fridge and freezer.
Our children`s play area is fantastic, with climbing frame, slides, swing, hideout, boat sand pit and more.
Our small football pitch awaits budding footballers, beside this you`ll see the badminton/volley ball net.
To keep children entertained discover our new games room area; where you`ll find football, pool and tennis tables. A small charge applies for ball hire/purchase.
There are some truly amazing places to explore and visit nearby in the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley AONB and local market towns.
For adventurers such as climbing the rocks at Symonds Yat numerous walks/bike riding trails leading directly into the woods or canoeing on the River Wye.
For the avid golfer we are located close to numerous golf courses of varying difficulty.
If you are wanting a slower pace there are plenty of local castles (Raglan, Chepstow, Goodrich) as well as arboretums and nature reserves.
Also, there are fishing lakes within a couple of miles.
Gloucester is close by with its fabulous docks, cathedral and museums.

The local market town of Newent is nearby with its abundance of local shops and amenities and beautiful surroundings. Also, the larger market town of Ross on Wye is only a ten minute drive away for those larger shops and amenities. The picturesque market town of Ledbury is about a 20 minute drive away.
Gloucestershire and the surrounding counties offer a vast number and variety of attractions for places to visit during your stay. From outdoor exploring to wine, cider or beer tasting to Cathedrals and Go-Ape to railway adventures.

Owner Directions
From the M50 follow the B4221 towards Newent. In the village of Gorsley, take the second left after shop/post office signposted Kempley Road. Proceed approximately 600 metres to the road junction to your left and take the track signposted Haywood Farm.
From Gloucester take the B4221 and bypass Newent through Kilcot to Gorsley, take second right after Gorsley Church on the hill, signposted Kempley Road, Proceed approximately 600 metres to the road junction to your left and take the track signposted Haywood Farm.
