Golden Square Caravan & Camping Park is set in a fantastic location on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors, with panoramic views across the National Park, farmland, forest and moorland.
Almost hidden from nearby roads, Golden Square is nestled in the quiet country side of the Hambelton Hills and is a warm and sheltered site. Only 2 miles from the bustling market town of Helmsley.
The Park has an unusual but equally fascinating layout on 3 different levels and carefully screened by trees. There is a spacious feel to the site, even at peak times, giving a feeling of freedom.
** DELUXE PITCHES **
On the touring park there are a number of pitches such as; ‘Deluxe all service pitches, touring pitches and seasonal pitches. Our Deluxe pitches are larger than normal, individually fenced and provided with electricity, fresh water, waste water and chemical waste connections, hard standing and a grass patio with picnic tables.
2 luxury stone built toilet/shower (free) blocks have under floor heating and have won the regional award for ‘Loo of the Year`. With numerous awards it truly shows the high standards and quality service of the facilities you can expect at the Park. Also disabled/family Bathroom with under floor heating. Well stocked shop/reception, 2 play areas, 1 indoor play area, football field, crazy golf.

A number of Country Walks, Long Distance Paths and Trails start from the park. Other nearby facilities are endless, with things such as, Pony Trekking over the Moors, Gliding at Sutton Bank, Fishing Lakes at Hovingham, Castle Howard Stately Home, Golf Course and Gilling, just 2 miles from. Swimming Pool at Ampleforth College which is open to the public is one of the most popular, as well as the Open Air Swimming Pool at Helmsley which is open in the Summer Months.

From A1 south leave at J49 to join the A168 just past Dishforth Airfield (signs for Teesside and A19).
Take the SECOND sign for THIRSK (signs for A170 and A19) to avoid the town centre.
At the roundabout take the YORK road (A19).
Continue for 3 miles South along the York road.
Take the SECOND Left, signposted CARAVAN ROUTE via COXWOLD.
Follow the signs for AMPLEFORTH.
Immediately through Ampleforth, FORK LEFT for HELMSLEY.
Golden Square is signposted, approximately 1½ miles from Ampleforth.
