A small family run 3 star campsite, featured on Channel 4's A New Life in the Sun! With large pitches set in a beautiful 17 acre woodland, there is plenty of space. Situated in unspoilt countryside, the site is ideal for dog owners, with plenty of great walks straight out of the gates. The site is wonderfully calm and peaceful but has plenty to keep the family entertained. A bar, swimming pool, play area, petanque, games room and mini-golf are all located on-site with all games equipment available to borrow free of charge. Perfect for families with plenty to occupy the children in a safe and secure environment. Electric hook ups and free wi-fi are available at all pitches. Woodfired pizzas are served several evenings a week and chips are also available in the evenings.
Centrally located on the site are modern facilities, in which you will find thermostatically controlled showers, washrooms and toilets which are cleaned and maintained to a high standard, as well as washing up sinks.
A variety of glamping accommodation is available to rent on site, including bell tents and luxury safari lodges. Or you could choose our mobile home or quirky vintage caravan!
Nearby Attractions
The large theme parks of Futuroscope and Puy du Fou are close by. The chateaux and vineyards dotted alongside the Loire Valley from Tours to Angers through Saumur are within easy driving distance, the quaint medieval towns of Parthenay and Poitiers are close by, and the old port city of La Rochelle is an hour and a half away on the west coast. There are also plenty of attractions in the area which the children will love.
The local village has a small supermarket / post office, bakery, take-away, a bar/restaurant and hairdressers and is just a short walk from the campsite.
The surrounding area is ideal for walking and cycling, and there are marked trails throughout the area.
Our close proximity to Poitiers means that we are just 25 minutes from exit 29 of the A10 autoroute. Located beside the village of Chalandray on the N149 Poitiers to Parthenay route, we are easy to find. From the crossroads in the town centre, take the « Route de la Gare » (D24) towards Vouzailles. The campsite is sited just 750m on the right hand side.
