Description
Pitches: 4 Campervans
Opening Dates next year: 01/04/2025 to 30/09/2025
The West Harris Trust welcome you to their campervan hook-ups located in the grounds of the Old School at Seilebost on the beautiful Isle of Harris.
The West coast of Harris is a very special place: the spectacular beaches, flower-rich machair and local culture make it a much sought after holiday location.
Just a few minutes walk from the beach, our peaceful four pitch site is situated along a private road and is the perfect place to enjoy a Hebridean get-away.
Look out for visiting oystercatchers, arctic terns and corncrakes and look to the hills to see sea eagles and golden eagles. In the sheltered bays of South Harris seals sunbathe and otters play in the clear waters.
Nearby Attractions
In a small loom shed just across the sand in Luskentyre Donald John Mackay MBE weaves the world famous Harris Tweed. Further along this single track road you come to the glorious expanse of Luskentyre Beach. This golden shell sand beach is the perfect place for beachcombing with the children or a romantic stroll.
Two miles south in Niseaboist, the West Harris Trust welcome you to their brand new Community venue, "Talla na Mara". Facilities include a restaurant, four open studios, a gallery and a further four campervan pitches. Talla na Mara has spectacular views across the sound of Taransay and along Niseaboist Beach to Macleod's standing stone.
Tarbert is the main village on the Isle of Harris. Here you will find the ferry terminal for visitors to and from the Isle of Skye. There are shops, cafes and bars and the Isle of Harris Distillery
