Bwlchgwyn Farm campsite has breathtaking views over the beautiful Mawddach Estuary overlooking Barmouth Harbour and out to sea along with LLyn Peninsular and Snowdonia mountains with uninterrupted views of the Famous west coast sunset.
We`re a working sheep and cattle farm with a selection of traditional self catering, dog friendly holiday cottages, small private caravan park, and a separate terraced campsite with 2 glamping pods.
Its walking distance to Fairbourne village, known for its beautiful two mile golden sandy beach, dunes, and is ideal for families
The campsite is very natural and we have a lovely individual bathroom shower block (FREE) and indoor kitchen with washing up area washing machine and tumble dryer.
Enjoy a BBQ and a glass of wine, with family and friends watching the sun setting over the bay.
All pitches have sea views but the higher you go the better the view.
The Camp/Touring fields are elevated on two natural levels with a much improved access road and level areas for tents/tourers.
Facilities include free ladies and mens modern hot showers and toilets, indoor washing up area, and WIFI available.
Washing machine and tumble dryer available (chargeable)
A limited amount of hook-ups available.
We do Pony Trekking and Equestrian Centre, with menage /stables. (Bring your own horse on holiday)
Walk down to the Mawddach Estuary coastal path and connect to Mawddach Trail(seen on T.V) where you can walk/cycle 10 miles reaching Penmaenpool having a cool drink at the George 111 Hotel and on to Dolgellau
Stroll across the wooden footbridge to Barmouth for a relaxing pub lunch on the key side.
Fairbournes 2 mile sandy (blue flag) beach great for families, swimmers etc, leaving miles of sand & rock pools when the tide goes out.
Dog Training, Agility classes Tues/Thurs Evening/ Sunday Agility classes all welcome. Great fun for you and your dog!
Glamping Pods
We now have 2 Family Pods at Bwlchgwyn that can sleep up to 5 people. They are fully insulated and double-glazed, electric socket and lights, T.V, and also a veranda that overlooks the Mawddach estuary, Diffwys mountain range and the pretty Barmouth harbour. The new way of camping but without the tent! Bring all your camping gear as normal, picnic table provided.

Owner Directions
By car: follow the A493 from Dolgellau to Fairbourne.
Just before Fairbourne we are situated of the main A493 road sharp left after the bend but before the garage.
There is a sign before the bend saying Bwlchgwyn.
By Rail:There is a main railway station at Fairbourne which connects for Birmingham New St, Shrewsbury ect we are 1/2 mile from station (collection can be arranged).
