Description
Pitches: 50
Opening Dates next year: 29/03/2025 to 31/10/2025
We are a small, family run, quiet, rural site with 50 pitches for caravans, campervans and tents: 30 with electricity and 20 without.
The site is grassy, well drained, flat, spacious and very quiet. There is an abundance of wildlife around the site including owls, woodpeckers, nightingales, rabbits, hedgehogs, badgers, deer, squirrels and foxes. We are family and pet friendly and allow dogs as long as they are kept on a secure lead while on the site.
We are situated at the edge of a small village in a conservation area of outstanding natural beauty with forest, river, heathland and coastal trails nearby. We manage our site in an environmentally friendly, organic, `green` way. We have a solar powered photo voltaic array so all our electricity is from a renewable source.
The Sorrel Horse community owned pub is a 2 minute walk away and serves lunch and evening meals.
There is also a children`s playground which can be accessed directly from the site.
We have a flock of mixed rare breed, very free range chickens as well as goats, pigs & alpacas. Our site is ideal for simple, relaxing family holidays.
There are 3 small toilet/shower blocks. The older green toilet block has two toilets and a shower each for men and for women. The new toilet blocks are unisex with 6 toilets, 3 showers, and a disabled-access toilet.
The Blue Rabbit Cafe is now open at Shottisham Campsite, selling delicious home-grown, home-made breakfasts, brunches and cakes. Pete`s Pizzas is also at the Blue Rabbit Cafe most Fridays.
