An award-winning 52-acre campsite in Robin Hood Country
Sherwood Forest Holiday Park is a peaceful, picturesque site with an abundance of wildlife and mature trees. We are on the banks of the River Maun and there is also a lake on the site which is home to ducks, swans and all manner of creatures.
The site itself is landscaped into several smaller distinct areas, giving it much more of an intimate feel. There are plenty of attractions nearby and you will find all the facilities you need on our site for an enjoyable stay.
We offer five toilet/shower blocks and facilities for the disabled. There are also facilities for motor home and caravan waste disposal and fresh water filling points. We also have numerous Elsan points and laundry.
There is a series of fishing lakes next to the site available for keen anglers. Day pegs are available.
Our shop stocks all the basics such as milk, eggs and bread, and the often-forgotten essentials such as toilet rolls and toothbrushes.
All pitches on the main site, whether grass or hard standing, have electric hook up and digital Freeview hook up:
Riverside
Hard standing with electric hook up. Pitches are divided by laurel bushes, backing onto the small River Maun. A very popular area, near the younger children's play area.
Cedar
Mainly grass pitches with electric hook-ups. 2 hard-standing pitches on either side of the younger children's play area. 1 non-electric grass pitch. Very popular with younger families.
Ash
A small picturesque area of grass pitches with electric hook up surrounded by the river on three sides. Not used in the winter months.
Lime
A small area of grass pitches with an electric hook-up overlooking the wildlife lake. Close to the disabled toilet and shower facilities.
Willow
It is a very popular area of hard-standing pitches with an electric hook-up overlooking the lake. Pitches are separated by laurel bushes. 1 very large pitch available for big RVs etc.
Beech
Grass pitches with electric hook-up. Pitches separated by laurel hedges. Near older children's play area.
Pine
Hardstanding pitches with electric hook-up. Separated by laurel hedges. Near older children's play area.
Oak & Chestnut
Grass pitches with electric hook-up. Popular with groups. Very popular with fishermen as the gate to the separately owned fishing lakes is directly from this area.
Hawthorn
Non-electric camping field. 3 to 5 minutes walk from the main site facilities. The field has 4 toilets, two fresh water drinking points
