The Lodge Field Rural Campsite is located just outside the Brecon Beacons National Park at the foot of The Black Mountains. The market town of Hay on Wye is 4 miles away with its newly refurbished Castle. Llangorse Lake is a 20 minute drive and its 45 minutes from the National Showcaves Centre for Wales.

The Lodge Field offers spectacular views of The Black Mountains and magnificent sunsets can be seen in the summer evenings. There is mains drinking water and a chemical waste disposal point, you will need to bring your own toilet and we ask that you take rubbish away with you.

There are two local pubs in walking distance from the site that also serve food. Visitors can horse ride at the site owners trekking centre located just a mile away. Canoeing is available locally and there are many footpaths to explore either close to the site or up in the hills.

Many of our visitors simply enjoy the peace and tranquility and relax on the site. Raised fire pits and BBQs are permitted but we ask that you dont light fires on the ground.

Dogs are welcome, we simply ask that you pick up after your dog and keep them under control.

We charge £10 per person per nights stay and £7.50 for children under 16yrs.
We also have 2 unfurnished 5 meter bell tents which can be hired for an extra £20 per tent per night.
We look forward to welcoming you to our site.

Llangorse Lake (20 minutes drive) offers Canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding and windsurfing.

Pen y Fan is 45 minutes drive away. The mountain is the tallest peak in Wales and there`s a four-mile circular walk to the top (a great photography spot).

The local waterfalls at Pwll y Wrach nature reserve (10 minutes drive) offer a gentle stroll through the woods to see the waterfalls.
