Opened in 2024, Chrome Hill is a tiny touring park with very big views over the Peak District National Park - and it is also one of the highest campsites in the UK.
Dedicated to use by campervans and small motorhomes with 5 pitches available.
It has a modern toilet/shower block, mains water and an elsan point.
This small site offers just a few gravel pitches, and each has a grassed area where a porch awning or pup tent can be put up (no charge) - and each, of course, has spectacular views over the hills and dales of the Peak District to the distinctive form of Chrome Hill (aka the Dragons Back), around half an hours amble away across the fields.
Dogs are welcome, and theres a secure exercise area dedicated just to them, as well as space for you to picnic and kick a ball around with the kids.
You`ll never be short of walks in gorgeous countryside straight from the pitches, and can stroll also down to the tearooms in the pretty local hamlet of Hollinsclough in around 25 minutes.
Buxton (15 minutes drive) is the nearest spot for topping up on groceries at the supermarket, browsing a choice of restaurants and pubs and contemplating at night at the theatre.
