Description
Pitches: 6 Caravans + 10 Tents
Opening Dates next year: 01/04/2025 to 30/09/2025
We are a family friendly camping and caravan site in the heart of Dalby Forest. The site lies hidden within the North Yorkshire moorland and serves as a laidback base exploring The Great Yorkshire Forest.
On site facilities include a pot washing room, three separate showers, ladies and gents toilets and a drying room.
Although we allow BBQs they must be extinguished by 9pm and we do not allow campfires of any kind. Chinese lanterns are strictly prohibited.
Caravans We are a fully licenced six van site with electric hook-up available for each unit.
Camping we have a large area designated to tents which are pitched around the perimeter of the site, leaving the centre clear so as not to overcrowd.
Camping pods We currently have six camping pods; four family pods which are recommended to sleep four adults, and two standard pods which are recommended to sleep two adults. All cooking is done outside the pod and we cannot allow pets in the pods. You will need to bring everything with you as if you were camping (apart from your tent!)
The pods have cushion flooring and carpeting, electric lights, heater and a socket.
The site is a 2 acre lawned field run as a quiet family site but also welcoming the montainbike enthusiast. Situated in the middle of the forest there is easy access for walking and cycling.
The coast and moors roads are also easily accessible from the site.
Dogs are welcome too but must be kept on a lead at all times when on site and strictly toilet walked off the site.
Nearby Attractions
Close at hand is the Forest visitor centre and also Go Ape, the renowned tree-top adventure.
The North York Moors Railway provides a regular service running up from the market town of Pickering through Heartbeat country to Grosmont and Whitby. Famingo Land theme park and zoo are also a short drive away.
The seaside towns of Scarborough and Whitby are just a little further away as is the historic walled city of York.
