Opening Dates next year: 01/04/2025 to 30/10/2025
Camping and glamping in beautiful countryside with easy access to historic Cambridge and a range of attractions.
With five acres of grassy fields, a pond, colourful wildflowers, bird boxes, and lines of newly planted trees and hedges, we combine fun and environmentally friendly camping and glamping.
Set in 5 acres of wildflowers with higgledy paths, each pitch has its own fire pit and Mad Hatter theme, suitable for caravans, motorhomes, tents and folding caravans
There are electric hookups on limited pitches on the outside of the wildflowers.
We have excellent wash facilities with large shower rooms and plenty of space, and a cosy reception where you can buy coffee & tea to warm up on those rainy days.
We offer a number of grass pitches in our wild camping field. You are more remote but still with full access to the wash facilities, (the walk is further). Every pitch has a firepit and amazing open views of the Cathedral and fens beyond with sunsets to match.
The Mad Hatters theme runs throughout the campsite, with a play house and adventure trail.
Campfires are allowed. Wood can be purchased from The Mad Hatters Campsite. Please only burn wood either purchased on site or brought with you.
The pond area has benches for relaxing and a small play area for children is set into the wildflowers.
There is a lovely 2 mile walk along the River Ouse into Ely for visits to the Cathedral and Cromwells House.
For those wishing for a little more luxury, there is the option of Glamping for 2 - 5 guests depending on the style of glamping chosen.

Ely is only 2 miles away, the walk to Ely along the River Ouse is particularly stunning, with amazing views of Ely Cathedral.
