Foxholes Castle Camping is a relaxed, family-run rural camp-site on a 28-acre smallholding, surrounded by glorious views of South West Shropshire's beautiful hill country. It has two wood clad cabins and three converted Railway Carriages, perfect for adventures throughout the year.
It is an ideal location for families, couples, walkers, cyclists and photographers, and is within a few minutes walk of the lively and popular town of Bishop's Castle.
Tents - Tents and small campervans are welcome on any of our four camping fields, each field looks out over stunning views over the Shropshire Hills and Welsh Marshes. Foxholes campsite have no set pitches so you have the choice of view/pitch to enjoy.
Caravans and Motorhomes - Tourers and large campervans have two fields to enjoy which your tent-ing friends are welcome to join you in. Foxholes Campsite has a few limited premium pitches with electric hook up for an additional £5 per night.
Fire Pits - Barbeques and Fire bowls are welcome on the site as long as they are well raised of the ground to avoid scorching. Also, please do not take wood from the hedgerows, we have worked hard to increase the wildlife at the Foxholes and fallen branches etc. are what makes the bug and bees happy!
Available to hire are our Recycled washing machine drum fire bowls, and sacks of logs. These are hired at a first come first served. Please note that when the ground is especially dry we may decide not to hire out the fire drums due to fire risk.
Toilet and Shower Block - We have a large modern heated, solar powered shower and toilet block. Our toilets are flushed using a combination of harvested rain water and water from an old well.
In addition to the main shower block we have three wet-rooms including an accessible room. Showers are 50p coin operated.
Common room and Washing-up Facilities - The common room houses our five solar heated washing up sinks and a communal Fridge and Freezer for the necessities, like keeping your beer cool!
You will also find a book swap, childrens games and entertainment and information on local events, restaurants and businesses.
