A quiet Keswick caravan, camping and glamping park, in the heart of the Lake District with everything you need for a comfortable stay while you explore the lakes, mountains and Lakeland towns and villages nearby
Castlerigg Hall caravan and camping park is located in quiet countryside overlooking Derwentwater with panoramic views of the surrounding fells. Formerly a Lakeland hill farm, Castlerigg Hall has been sympathetically developed into a quality touring park providing a wide range of modern facilities.
CARAVANS AND MOTORHOMES: Set on mainly level terraces our touring pitches vary greatly in size and outlook. Some pitches have lake views whilst some are among trees and hedges. We offer pitches that are close to the amenities or some which involve an uphill walk from the lower terraces.
CAMPING: The campground is sheltered and has both sloping and level areas. Views are available of lakes and fells from some areas of the field but not all. Cars may be parked close to the tent depending on ground conditions. Sorry but no electric hook-up points are available for camping
TOILET, SHOWER & BATH FACILITIES: Arguably the most important facilities of them all, at Castlerigg Hall the main toilet and shower facilities are designed to the highest of standards for your comfort. Fully tiled and with underfloor heating to two of our facility buildings, they include privacy wash cubicles and large showers. Hair dryers are provided too. Each of the three facility buildings on our park offer fully accessible rooms, keys available from the reception. We also have a bathroom on site so after an active day on the fells or sailing our lakes, soak away those aching muscles!
We are also thrilled that our facilities have been awarded Platinum in the annual ‘Loo of the Year awards for both 2019 and 2020.
CAMPERS KITCHEN: Prepare your meals in the warmth of the Campers Kitchen. Its equipped with seating, washing-up basins, twin hobs, microwave (both 50p tokens) and free use of toasters and kettle. Ice pack freezing and Wi-Fi are available at no charge.
Theres also a lovely sun terrace to sit and enjoy your meals or if the weather is inclement, sit and enjoy the view from the large windows looking across to the Western Lake District Fells.
DOGS: Dog exercise area, where supervised dogs can be off the lead to explore and let off steam. We also have a designated warm-water dog wash facility on site, so no muddy paw prints after a day exploring the Lakes. We have some of the best walks in the country for you and your dog with miles upon miles of foot paths leading in all directions
Our location, 1 mile from Keswick, is the ideal base to explore the Central Lake District with many scenic walks available directly from the site.

Leave the M6 at junction 40 and follow the A66 to Keswick. Leave the A66 on the left hand slip road signpost Keswick. 200 yards at the Low Briery junction turn left and follow the road to the next T junction. Turn left up Chestnut Hill signpost Windermere and follow road uphill for 1/2 mile. Turn right up a small lane at a large brown sign indicating Castlerigg Hall, Castlerigg Farm and The Heights Hotel. We are 300 yards on the right. Do not follow any signs for Castlerigg stone circle!
