East Balthangie Caravan Park offers camping and caravanning facilities located close to the villages of Cuminestown and New Deer, near the town of Turriff in Aberdeenshire.
The caravan park is ideally situated for exploring Banff and Buchan and further afield around the North East of Scotland. With a coastline to the North rugged and spectacular and a coastline to the East with 52 miles of rolling sand dunes, there is much to explore. Castles, distilleries, museums, sites of scientific interest, forests, hills, and Royal Deeside all within easy reach, add to the wealth of things to see and do in the area.
This picturesque site is nestled 553 feet above sea level on a gentle/flat area, boarded by trees on the northern side. We are the perfect place to escape from the pressures of modern life. The well-maintained and tranquil 5-acre site offers touring caravan grass pitches, motorhome and camper van pitches, family tent or trailer tents pitches, and wee bivvy non-electric pitches.
This pleasant campsite has excellent facilities including the following:
Toilets and wet room power showers, with sundries such as hair dryers provided.
Campers kitchen with a sink, hot and cold water, electric kettle, microwave, kitchen table, and chairs, and outside primus stove point. We even supply washing-up items including washing-up liquid.
Chemical toilet disposal point.
Grey water drive over collection point
Site-wide Wi-Fi.
Laundrette.
Large secure pet area for letting your dog off the lead.
Pavilion games & TV room, with table tennis, pool table, table football, and other indoor games.
Borrow room- where you can find everything you might need that you have forgotten to bring!
The site prides itself on providing a quiet, peaceful environment with plenty of space for visitors. The site also has a pet area that is around two acres where dogs can run and exercise.
The caravan park is located on the main North Sea Route 1 cycle route making it an ideal base for any keen cyclists. There are also several golf clubs in the area, so if you like golf make sure you bring your clubs with you!
The site is open all year round.

Visitors with more than 2 dogs need to contact us before booking to discuss the breed and any special requirements needed.

The coastline is one of the best places in Scotland to spot dolphins & seals along the Banffshire coast & from here in the north all the way around to St Cyrus National Nature Reserve in the east, beautiful coastlines are featured, pretty seaside towns, rugged cliffs & sandy bays.
There are hundreds of attractions and hidden gems dotted across the region, including centuries-old distilleries, fantastic parklands and golf courses, ancient castles & more.

Owner Directions
From the South take the A90 and new Aberdeen bypass right to the end where it meets the Aberdeen to Peterhead road at Blackdog.
Turn left here towards Ellon, then either drive through Ellon and stop by the river for a rest and to shop for supplies, or skirt around the town on the bypass.
Take the Ellon to Cuminestown road and when passing through our local village New Deer, (where you can also shop for supplies) take the first right turn beyond the village signposted New Byth and we are 3.5 miles down that road on the left.
Sat Navs will take you to our neighbouring farm, so from any other directions arriving here- keep going after the `you have reached your destination` & we will appear on the right!
