Camping Sous Les Etoiles Normandie is a quiet family run campsite in the village of St Martin des Besaces offering camping / caravanning. Perfectly situated for exploring the undulating picturesque countryside, tasting renowned cheeses, sampling sparkling cider and of course, the famous Calvados.
Once a working farmstead, the grounds (14 acres) have been re-designed with 50 large individually marked pitches, hedges, apple trees and borders overlooking lush green fields. The farmhouse, which has been tastefully renovated, retains its country charm.
**** PETS PASSPORT **** We accept domestic pets on the camp site, so long as they are kept on a lead at all times. There is a vet near the village capable of dealing with the necessary worming and paperwork etc. for return to the UK.
****IF YOU ARE A "NEWBIE"***** (i.e. first time driving or camping / caravanning on the continent) you will find us welcoming with ENGLISH spoken. Ferry ports are within easy access and we can assist you with any issues you may encounter in a new foreign environment.

VERY CENTRALLY LOCATED To the North of St Martin des Besaces are the D-day Landing Beaches, where they are celebrating the 76th Anniversary of the landings in 2020, and Bayeux with its famous tapestry.
To the South is the historic and pretty village of Domfront, within Normandy's large regional park.
To the East in Suisse Normand (little Switzerland) is Clecy with a miniature railway and the River Orne for canoeing and fishing.
To the West lies the breathtaking Le Mont St Michel and the beaches along the Cotentin shoreline.
Within the village, there is a Museum dedicated to the liberation of the Bocage Region (NB Knowledgable English speaking curator supported by local historians) and for the more adventurous - nearby Bungy Jumping, parachuting and other active sports.
