Located on a working farm in the Glens of Antrim, , Watertop Farm offers family-friendly camping and touring as well as a camping chalet for glampers. Youll find plenty of routes to stretch your legs and take in the stunning views of the North Coast.
Campers can look forward to fresh air, great walks and embracing rural life. Spend your evenings under the dark skies with a gazillion stars!Just a stones throw from the North Coast dramatic coastline and the awe-inspiring Glens of Antrim, the farm is ideally located for sightseeing, if you get bored of the stunning views around the farm that is!
Youll be pitching up in the spacious family friendly camping field or hooking up to your fully serviced pitch while the kids get reacquainted with their rural surroundings.
The site has a limited number of camping and caravan pitches in separate areas, so youll be able to enjoy plenty of peace and quiet, especially outside of peak season. The modern toilet and shower block is central to all pitches, less than a three minute walk.
Pitches have electric and water access on a mixture of grass and hardstanding pitches - wild camping areas are also available for groups or walkers.
Too cold to camp? The camping chalet complete with wood burning stove is all of the fresh air, back to nature camping vibes (just without the camping bit!).
With no WiFi and minimal outdoor lighting, youll have all night to marvel at the wide open night skies and reconnect with nature on this 500 acre SSSI farm.
Have no fear of the good Irish summer weather- in the evenings, a roaring fire awaits you in the authentic old Cottage Museum, a perfect setting for meeting new friends and toasting a marshmallow or two.
You are welcome to cook at your pitch, there are covered shed areas for off-season sheltered cooking- just ask the site.
Activities available all season: *Childrens playground *Outdoor slide *Farm walks *Hiking routes *Cottage open fire *Crazy golf 9 hole course
Whether youre looking for a back to nature escape, a break with the family, or want to reconnect with authentic farming life, Watertop Farm is sure to leave you with fond memories. With so many walks, bike trails, playgrounds, and farm animals to befriend, its the perfect place for kids to burn off some energy.
Dogs are welcome but do remember it is a working sheep farm with sheepdogs so only bring well behaved furry friends please.
We, the McBride family, have been welcoming generations of caravans and campers looking to get away from it all for over 30years! Our 4th generation family farm is home to over 400 sheep, cows, horses, ducks, chickens and of course our wee team of sheepdogs.
We first opened our doors in 1969 as a pony trekking centre, becoming the first Open Farm in Ireland and we are proud to have been part of so many cherished family memories for over 30 years!
The pandemic changed so much for so many and sadly we no longer offer open farm activities, but we are delighted to continue sharing our family farm with generations of happy campers!
We look forward to welcoming you soon
