The Larick campsite is on the coast close to the northern entrance of Tentsmuir Forest. The forest contains many trails for walking, cycling and horse riding.
The terrain is generally fairly level, and the coastal boundary comprises dunes and a large sandy beach.
Tayport common is adjacent to the campsite. On the common are two childrens play areas and a BMX track. The Fife Coastal Path and the Coast and Castles cycle route pass the campsite.
The site takes its name from a local landmark, the Larick Pile Light at the entrance to Tayport Harbour.
We welcome campervans, motorhomes, caravans, and tents (walkers, motorbikes, cars & cyclists). There are a variety of pitches and a new amenity building.
The site is compact with 32 pitches, all bar one are grass. Around the perimeter are 5 small powered pitches suitable for units up to 5.5m long and 11 larger powered pitches that can accommodate units up to 8m.
In the centre are 11 unpowered pitches that can accommodate units up to 6.5m, tents with 1 car and there are two dedicated unpowered grass pitches especially for backpackers arriving without motor transport.
We have a modern amenity block with heated toilets, shower rooms including a family room, accessible toilet and laundry with pot wash.

We welcome dogs, which are free, but there is a limit of two dogs per pitch. All dogs must be kept on a short lead whilst on the campsite, there are miles of walks for your dog on the adjoining common and beyond.
The site is next to our new community and sports centre - The Larick Centre. It contains a well catered cafe/restaurant. The Centre also hosts various events during the year including childrens events.
Tentsmuir Forest and National Nature Reserves are within walkable distance. We are on the main bus route from Dundee to St Andrews. and just across the road is the worlds 13th oldest golf course - Scotscraig Golf Club

The Fife Coastal Path goes right past the campsite, as does the the northern section of the Coast and Castles route and National Cycle Route 1.
Tentsmuir Forest contains many trails for walking, cycling and horse riding. The terrain is generally fairly level, and the coastal boundary comprises dunes and a large sandy beach, which stretches 4 miles from Tentsmuir Point to the mouth of the River Eden.
The main tracks are wide and with a surface of either gravel or sand and grass, and in the unlikely even of forestry operations are vehicle free. There are narrower cyclable tracks as well as narrow footpaths throughout the forest.
Interesting locations are the Ice House and the Polish Army Camp.
The main centre for the forest is at Kinshaldy, which is the easiest access point for the beach. There is a large car park, childrens play area and cafe/creperie.

Tayport is on the south side of the Tay, four miles from the centre of Dundee, twelve miles from St Andrews, and 12 miles from Cupar.
The campsite is on the coast close to the northern entrance of Tentsmuir forest. Tayport common is adjacent to the site which we share with the Larick Community and Sports Centre.
From the north or from the south on the A92 turn off at the roundabout on the southern end of the Tay Bridge to the B946. From the south from St Andrews or Cupar take the B945 from St Michaels.
The best approach for vans and caravans is down Maitland and Nelson Streets. Be sure to take the third exit at the roundabout at the end of Maitland Street. The second exit takes you to the Promenade and Tayport Links Caravan Park.
