Poppyland is an ideal base from which to explore the North Norfolk coastline, Norfolk Broads & surrounding areas.
The Norfolk Broads is Britains largest protected wetland & an important area for wildlife.
The constantly changing Norfolk coastline consists of some 90 miles of the most beautiful scenery in the British Isles.
Felbrigg Hall, Blickling Hall & Sheringham Park are among several National Trust properties in the area.
The Sandringham Estate is within an hours drive.
The Poppy Line steam railway runs Apr-Oct from Sheringham to Holt.
Boat trips to see the seal colonies operate from Blakeney Quay & Morston Quay.
Fishermen have the choice locally of beach/coarse/sea fishing.
Poppyland is also ideally situated for country walks, rambling & cycling.
Located next to the Village Green in the centre of Thorpe Market village on the A149. 4 miles south of Cromer & 4 miles north of North Walsham.
The driveway leads up the right hand side of Poppyland Cottage.
Please be aware if travelling from the North Walsham direction, the left turn into Poppyland is quite sharp. Please do not take the track along the village green as there is no turning space.
The local Bus Stop with an hourly service to Cromer and Sheringham etc and the village Post Box are to be found on the Village Green.
