Slatebarns caravan park (no tent pitches, statics or commercial vehicles accepted) is a peaceful, sheltered, family run park which is on the edge of Roslin Glen and right next door to the famous Rosslyn Chapel (featured in the Di Vinci Code movie). It has a choice of level hardstanding and grass pitches. We are on the outskirts of Edinburgh, approximately 5 minutes from the Edinburgh City Bypass. A few minutes walk up Chapel Loan takes you to the heart of the village where you will find the local village pub which serves food in the lounge, Conservatory, public bar and beer garden. It is child, dog and horse friendly! There is a post office selling fresh rolls daily, Dollys Tearoom, a craft shop and a Co-op store. There are plenty of walks around the area and a short bus ride takes you into Edinburgh City Centre. Horseriding, swimming, hillwalking, fishing, golf and ski-ing (artificial slope),are all on our doorstep to enjoy.

In nearby Edinburgh City Centre you will find attractions such as Edinburgh Castle which hosts the Edinburgh Military Tattoo, The famous Royal Mile which has the Castle at one end and the Scottish Parliament and The Palace of Holyrood at the other. The Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August, Edinburgh Zoo (with its famous Pandas), The Royal Yacht Britannia and many other historic attractions. Why not take a boat trip under the famous Forth Railway Bridge and stop off on one of the islands in the Firth of Forth for an hour or so?

Owner Directions
From the Edinburgh City Bypass A720 - take the Straiton exit. Take the A701 and then follow the signs for Rosslyn Chapel (B7006). Travel down Chapel Loan - past Rosslyn Chapel and the caravan park is straight in front of you. There is a small certified location site (5 van site) on the left carry on past that into the main park.
