Melin Rhos is a quiet site in a peaceful location near Moelfre, and is around 15 minutes walk to the unspoilt beach at Lligwy. The camping areas are in a sheltered position and are therefore very suitable for tents.
Lligwy Beach has a lovely sandy beach, car parking, and a shop to cater for basic needs. Moelfre is a pretty fishing village, with a pub, some cafes and small shops.
There are lots of excellent walks in the area, and Lligwy and Moelfre are on the Anglesey coastal path.
Refurbished for 2010, the facilities on site are hot showers(small charge), toilets, washing up and waste water disposal.
Melin Rhos has a David Bellamy award for conservation.
Nearby Attractions
Moelfre.. is a lovely old fishing village famous for its lifeboat and stunning coastal walks. Dolphins can often be seen from Moelfre's pretty harbour.
Lligwy... is one of the treasures of the island and remains unspoiled, with just a shop for basic needs, adequate car parking and a wonderful sandy beach.
Benllech...a popular holiday village, with a lovely wide, sandy beach, and is just around the headland from Red Wharfe Bay. Local amenities include convenience stores, gift shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes.
Nearby facilities include golf courses, lake and sea fishing, boating, swimming, tennis and green bowling.
Snowdonia and the castles of Caernarfon, Penrhyn and Beaumaris are not far away, and a day trip to Dublin (by ferry from Holyhead) is also a popular option.

Owner Directions
Approach Anglesey along the A55, crossing the Menai Straits over the Britannia Bridge.
Take the second slip road after the bridge, which is immediately after a bend, and is signposted A5025 Benllech and Amlwch.
Turn right at the top of the sliproad, and follow the A5025 for 10 miles until you reach the village of Benllech.
Travel through the village and you will see our main site office on the left hand side (Bodafon Caravan Park - blue and white sign)where you register with us for Melin Rhos.
Directions to Melin Rhos will be given from there.
