There are plenty of things to do close to the campsite; take a walk along the coastal path, or bike along the enchanting Mawddach Trail following the course of the estuary along the disused railway from Morfa Mawddach to Barmouth or Dolgellau.
You can cycle from the campsite to the closest village of Rhoslefain, turning right towards Tonfannau and over a newly built bridge (for walkers, cyclists and horse riders) to Tywyn or a circular route can be completed. Near Tonfannau is the mouth of the river Dysynni, known locally as the Broad water, an ideal place to kayak and take in the valley views.
If you wish to sea kayak - that can be done from the campsite! Half a mile north of the campsite is a quaint church called Llangelynnin where the famous Welsh Gypsy, Abram Wood was buried in 1799, and is well worth a visit to see the murals on the interior walls.
Information and leaflets regarding local attractions can be found in the utility room on the campsite - or ask the owners .
