From Lynmouth on A39 towards Porlock take the first turning on the right signposted Brendon. Continue down the hill and turn right across the two stone bridges into the village. At the triangular village green bear left and turn left, signposted Oare/ Malmesmead. The entrance to the site is in approximately 500 metres on the left.

Long Meadow is a short walk, 500 meters to the village of Brendon and the local pub that serves good traditional pub food, and in the opposite direction the national trust village of Malmsmead with cafe and shop and walks up through the Doone valley to the ancient settlement of badgworthy.
The twin villages of Lynton & Lynmouth are a short drive away (approximately 4 miles) where you can travel on the famous cliff railway and walk round the harbour or go on a boat trip to see puffins and goat on the steep cliffs of the Bristol Channel, or just walk round shops and cafes and enjoy views.
Where ever you go on Exmoor there are stunning walks with beautiful views and scenery as well as activities for both adults and children .
