Directions
Travelling from Poole/Bournemouth/Dorchester, head for Wareham and follow the signs to Corfe Castle on the A351. On leaving Corfe Castle take the B3069 up to Kingston and then follow the ridge round to the left towards Langton Matravers. The campsite is on the second right turning after the village sign. Please do not take the turning to Acton you will find us on the next right turning.
If you are coming from Swanage, as you leave the town follow the B3069 up onto the ridge into Langton Matravers. Pass The Kings Arms on your left and carry on through the village. The campsite is the last turning on the left as you leave the village.
Nearby Attractions
Acton Field Campsite is ideal for camping, walking and cycling with many footpaths and bridle paths close by. It's also ideally placed if you're looking for Swanage festival camping.
The beaches of Swanage and Studland are sandy and safe and are within easy reach.
A bus stop is 5 minutes walk from the campsite and a regular bus service can transport you to Swanage, Wareham, Poole, Bournemouth, Weymouth and beyond. Wareham train station is on the main line to London, Waterloo.
Essential day trips include the scenic cliff-top walk from the village to swim at the Dancing Ledge tidal rock pool and caves. In 40 minutes you can walk along Priests Way down to Swanage Bay for a fish-and-chip beach supper, or to the famous Square and Compass pub in Worth Matravers. Buy a pint of cider and a pasty through a hole in the wall before relaxing on the pub's very own little slope
