Nearby Attractions
Arran is a spectacular island with amazing views, from high in the Goat Fell mountain range in the North to stunning Torrylinn beach down in the South.
The island is only 20 miles long and 10 miles wide so you are never far from any of the attractions and spoilt for choice with beaches, walks, mountains, woods and waterfalls.
For natural history lovers Arran boasts all five of the Scottish Big Five rare animals: Golden Eagle, Red Squirrel, Red Deer, Seal and Otter.
If its history you want then we have neolithic remains including the atmospheric standing stones at Machrie Moor and several castles including the NTS Brodick Castle and gardens.
For foodies there are two distilleries and loads of amazing local produce.
And if the kids get bored there is are local farm tours at Bellevue Farm, horse riding, local swimming pools or an afternoon out on the Waverley (the last ocean going paddle steamer in the world, which visits Arran every week during the Summer season).
