Directions
By car, follow A30 past Hayle, then take St ives exit. 300 yards after leaving the A30 for St Ives, turn left at the second mini-roundabout following directions to St Ives for heavy vehicles, day visitors and Tate Gallery. After driving through Halsetown you will join the B3306 about one mile from St Ives (an octagonal building will be on your left). Turn right here and at the next mini-roundabout turn left directed by the brown caravan park sign to Ayr and Porthmeor beach. Following this road, you will reach the park entrance after 600 yards on a sharp `S` bend at "Ayr Terrace". By train, change at St. Erth for St Ives, the park is a short taxi or bus ride from the station.
Nearby Attractions
Boat trips from the harbour take you to seal island and around the bay. There are plenty of golden sandy beaches to enjoy within walking distance or if you prefer taking in the scenery of the coastline, there are miles of coastal footpath to experience. There are many art galleries to visit including the famous Tate Gallery. The local beach Porthmeor has a surf school where lessons can be booked or if you prefer a more relaxing experience of the sea, Porthminster beach has kayak tours and stand-up paddle boarding. For some more adrenaline, they also offer coast-steering from Porthminster beach.
