Inver Caravan Park is almost adjacent to the A9 just north of Dunbeath. The entrance is 50 metres up the road to Houstry. The A9 here is very quiet overnight.

In Dunbeath are an excellent Heritage Centre and the Laidhay Croft Museum. Nearby are cliffs and sea-stacks for the climbing enthusiast, lots of marine and birdlife - even puffins, and beautiful walks up the Dunbeath Strath.
Caithness has numerous archaeological sites, and the Castle of Mey is within easy reach. We are 38 miles from John o` Groats, which makes it a good stop-over for cyclists and walkers.
We are within easy reach of the `John o` Groats Trail`, the cliff-top walking trail from Inverness to John o`Groats, so we make a useful stop-over for walkers, who do not need to book and can stay here at a discounted rate.
Only 400 yards down the road (easy walking distance) is a pub and restaurant `The Bay`, booking recommended in the summer and at weekends (Tel 01593 731356).
