Famously it was at Dunnottar Castle that a small garrison held out against the might of Cromwell`s army for eight months and saved the Scottish Crown Jewels, the `Honours of Scotland`, from destruction!

Stonehaven has a wide range of places to eat out ranging from small cafes, pubs for a quick drink or excellent restaurants to tick all the boxes. We also have an array of different take away establishments if you fancy some famous `Fish & Chips`, many of which deliver direct to our park!

Walks

Aberdeenshire is full of countless scenic walks in the surrounding area ranging from sandy beaches, woodlands, castle grounds, Glens and not forgetting the Cairngorm National Park which hosts 55 Munros (Mountain over 914 metres) to tackle, the closest being Mount Keen in the beautiful Glen Esk.
We also have a small woodland adjacent to the park which can be enjoyed by all visitors and perfect for walking the dog.
