Directions
Wigrams is situated directly on the junction of two canals, the Grand Union and Oxford Canal. It is situated a couple of miles north of Napton just north of the A425 and east of Tomlow Road, about half a mile down its own lane.
If you are using a Sat-Nav please dont rely on the postcode. This will direct you about a mile too far north, near home Farm, as this is the centre of the code area. We are in fact immediately adjacent to the canal bridge on the north side. If you have a long vehicle or are towing a large caravan please consider approaching via Stockton to avoid the canal bridges at both ends of Tomlow Road.
Nearby Attractions
Wigrams is situated close to the villages of Napton-on-the-Hill, with its hilltop windmill, Stockton, and the town of Southam, site of the first battle of the English civil war, occurring 2 months before the more important Edgehill. Southam has a selection of shops including a supermarket and excellent cafes and take-aways. Napton has an admirable village store which includes a cafe and post office.
The Kings Head, just a short walk away, is an excellent pub and offers a very good menu. The Folly is another noteworthy pub, about a 2 mile walk along the towpath. Another canal-side pub is The Bridge, about a mile from us by the eponymous bridge on the A425.
