We've been to this site before - during winter and although not the most accommodating but it was acceptable - the obvious issues were the "unisex" toilets and paying for wifi.

Summer however is a horror story - packed to the gills, cues just to go to the toilet (six unisex toilets for the campsite! Noisy, cramped, people playing patangue, music until midnight.

The risk of fire due to the barbecues allowed on the small pitches in which large families and friends were in tents with cars.

Awful, dangerous and expensive - €40 for a campervan and 2 adults - wifi separate charge and only for one device. Never again - ever!

Stayed 2 nights on way to Spain. Close to hypermarket.

Site has its own lake and river with a little beach. Very nice to walk around with views of the mountains. We saw a terrapin basking in the sun and 2 cormorants drying their wings.

Reception staff friendly and helpful. Restaurant was closed for January.

There was building work going on on the lower level of site but we couldn’t hear it on upper level. Had medium sized pitch. Could have chosen small or large. Everything close by - water, grey water, recycling bins.

Toilet and shower block unisex, clean, heated. Lovely hot shower. Shower cubicles a bit small but ok.

 Liked- swimming pool.

Disliked- small pitches, mixed toilets / showers/ washing up etc- these were very smelly and unpleasant to use.

Small, close together pitches, with trees to manoeuvre round. Water taps in flooded overflow.

Nothing open ( except pool)- and charged the full season rate. Also overpriced bread and wifi.

Concrete mixer going all afternoon- I appreciate work needs to be done, but perhaps warn people or close as we did come to relax. Staff quite rude when we complained, otherwise I might have considered a more lenient review.

Good clean site, nice walk around the lake for our dog,

Facilities clean although a little strange to have toilets, showers and washing up/ laundry sinks in the same room!

Restaurant closed during our stay so cant comment.

Staff friendly and helpful.

We would stay again.

The site was good and reception was attentive

The swimming pool was the real bonus of our stay

Disappointing was the over filled ash tray units and bin areas

This is a very clean and welcoming campsite

With a pool and bar/restaurant which we used and which was a very welcome feature in the middle of October when many sites are closed for the winter!

Friendly, helpful staff who spoke good English.

Stayed on a fully serviced pitch, near toilet block to make life easier (no noise problems).

Toilet block kept very clean, toilet paper supplied, unisex.

Good restaurant, snack bar, take away.

Large supermarket near by.

Plenty to see and do.

The ease of booking and quick response to my enquiry via email.

The site was just off our travel route.

s it was February it was quiet and lots of spaces.

It cost us €26 for EHU, hardstanding with our dog. Expensive but we had to recharge after a few nights off grid.

Lovely clean facilities. Only grumble was "mixed" toilet and shower block😒.

We intended an overnight stop but its a lovely site in an area with plenty to see and do so we ended up staying a couple of days.

Campsite is an easy couple of miles off the motorway, good roads. Reception is super helpful and friendly, everyone we dealt with spoke good English.

In winter its only the hard standing being used, plenty of choice despite the site being quite busy (40+ units there the nights we stayed). All pitches have ehu, you can pay a bit more for 'comfort pitches' with fresh water and drain on the pitch. There is a good moho service point and plenty of fresh water taps.

Toilets / showers clean and plenty of hot water. In winter its one block and unisex - cubicles are more than big enough to get changes etc so not a problem.

The swimming pool is lovely, as previous review said it is 170cm deep and n shallow end. None the less its covered in winter and heated.

There is a Le Clerc store and several other shops about 10 minutes walk from the site (not the best road for walking but they are working on a cycle path). Its about an hours walk down to the harbour, plenty of lovely cafes, bars and restaurants around the Fort area.

We were really impressed with this site, ideal for a nights stopover or longer as there is plenty to keep you. We will come again and make sure we have more time to explore further.

I agree with all previous reviewers comment so no point in repeating them just to add some. The site is very near the A63 with good caravan friendly access roads. Ideal for stopovers.

We stayed here for a week and found the man and woman on reception very helpful with good English. We arrived late when reception was closed so we picked a good pitch and booked in next morning. We used one with water and drainage, cost 25. 5 euros night. They take Asci cards. We tuned our TV in and found one or two English speaking programmes. The site is massive so you don't need to book. You can arrive until 9pm. The have lovely baguettes in the mornings. The wifi is still poor, working only at or very near reception. There is a computer room below reception. The covered swimming pool is all one depth about 5' 6' lovely for me but my wife 5' 4' can't swim so she could not go in. There is an on site bar/ cafe open some of the days we were there. We did the La Rhune mountain train and went to St Jean and San Sebastián all very good. Large supermarket close by has cheap diesel.
