Lovely secluded site and and lovely owner.

We had permission to go fossil hunting in the quarry and my son found newts toads and frogs which made his day.

Great value for money site we will most definitely be coming again.

First impressions were good, generous size field but it was not marked up as the caravan and camping field.

The field is good and level and the grass was pretty tidy and the toilets [1 male and 1 female] looked ok.

Shower was generous size and there was good washing up facilities in the kitchen. However, the shower wasn't working, but in fairness the owner did come and put that right when we reported it.

We were there for 4 nights and the facilities were never cleaned, we always clean up after ourselves but no sweeping out of grass or bins emptied. Despite requests for the owners to come to collect payment, they didn't come, in the end we had to put the money in an envelope and it was only luck that the owner was found to pass it on.

The chemical disposal was a complete disgrace, it was clearly blocked with faeces floating and tissue clogging it. The whole was overflowing.

As mentioned in other reviews, the road is very busy and the noise was really bad, it was quieter at night but started up again about 5 am.

In its favour there were some lovely walks around the quarries and lots of wild life to see.

Beautiful birdsong and good sightings of red kites.

Sadly the pub next door was closed down.

The location is good for visiting the Cotswolds and Stratford on Avon.

Nice basic site - only 1 male and 1 female toilet and 1 shower. Just before I left, another camper told me there was another toilet and shower at the other end of the site, but there was no sign for it.

The site is right next to an incredibly busy road, and the "pub within walking distance" has closed down.

First night was very enjoyable. Then two large family groups arrived, the first with 2 large tents and the second with 3.

The latter group shoehorned their tents in so that they could pitch together, and allowed their kids to play football right outside our pitches, despite there being plenty of room further up the field, or tons of space in the rally field.

Our group felt so overrun that we left a day early.

Steve and Kirsty were the perfect hosts for our HHH away weekend,

Nothing was too much trouble and they delivered above and beyond what we had expected.

The site is everything we could have wished for and the static caravan a delight.

Stayed for 3 nights, great little site split in 2 parts - campihg & caravan club and general camping, just a 150 mtr walk to a pub, Thai take away out side on road (bloody gorgeous)

Only down side Is Only 1 male and 1 female toilet and 1 shower so can ge a queue for facilities an extra couple of toilets would make a good site Fantastic one but well kept and Very Clean.

Would we go back ? Yes but taking a portaloo

Been motorhoming 40 plus years and this is my favourite as its friendly, no hassle, run by nice people who always make me welcome.

Nice place to see skylarks kytes buzzards and other birds.

Great electric supply that never trips out.

Thai food van just across the road and a pub next door 100yds away.

I have always kept this place secret to myself but feel others should now know and come and enjoy the place.

This is a nice size site with clean facilities.

It has a compact wash area.

It is next door to a great gastro pub. If you get the chance pitch near the loos as it's a bit further away from the road, so less road noise. Unfortunately some star gazers nicked our pitch!( apparently it's a great site as there's no light to interfere with the telescopes)

They also have pods which you can hire

We will be going back

This is a very basic site, a small field with a unit which consists of a mens toilet, a ladies toilet, washing up type kitchen space and one shower. All very old-fashioned, but when we visited, were clean. There is literally nothing else on site, however, the nightly rate reflects that and the site is, therefore, fairly good value for money.

We stayed over a weekend and did not see anyone in charge the entire time and when you leave, you simply post the money owed through a door.

The site is adjacent to a very busy road, so road noise is quite bad, although this does quieten down at night. There is an excellent pub literally next door with friendly staff and good food.

Unfortunately, the weekend we stayed, the owner had rented out one of the farm buildings for a rave, but forget to inform us of this forthcoming event when we booked. Had he done so, we would have certainly gone elsewhere.

The noise was unbearable, beginning early evening to the early hours of the following morning, with the party goers, making even more noise as they were leaving. After talking to other disgruntled and very tired campers, we learnt that this was the first time this had happened.

Therefore, be warned when booking, it may be worth enquiring of any forthcoming events - unless of course you simply love garage music and feel that being kept awake all night adds to your weekend.

We had a very pleasant stay here. It has all the basics including hook up, chemical disposal point and water with some extra little creature comforts you don't get in many sites such as washing up liquid beside the sink, kitchen roll and a soft hand towel in the ladies loo. There was a camping pod nearby which even had a torch hanging up outside the front door. All these things suggested a site put together with care, thought and consideration for visitors. We didn't notice the hardstanding (on left through the gate) when we arrived and parked on the flat grass. It had been raining and when we bumped into the owner while he was cleaning the facilities, he offered to tow us out if we had any difficulties. We didn't but it was a kind offer and we appreciated it. We also liked the gate allowing access to the Greedy Goose pub next door where we had a warm welcome, a decent pint, a nice meal and a bowl of water for the dog too. Good hospitality makes both campsite and pub worth a visit with Chipping Norton, Moreton in Marsh, Stow on the Wold and the Rollright stones within easy exploring distance.

Stayed for a night as a stopover really on the way up the the Lake District. We had a hard standing opposite the reception and toilet block with 16 amp hook up. There is a field for tents etc also. Compact and basic but everything you need, toilet, shower and washing facilities. Nearly next door to the Greedy Goose pub which you can walk to on the grass verge. Nice walk out to the back of the quarry which was next door. We didn't notice any noise from the road and only saw two vehicles going to the quarry in the morning. Nothing for children there if you have them. Overall, very handy and a good price at £15pn inc h/u. Good access roads leading to it. Accepts dogs.
