Now independent the site has extended hookups and toilet facilities, together with excellent potwash sink with HOT water.
Easy access from busy B road,
Good shelter from wind and good large gently sloping/level field.
Access to Hornsea beach within walking distance, 100 yards along main road then option of wide footpath across fields and quiet roads.
Other direction walk along cliff top.
By sailing club some people scramble down to beach but boulders make this tricky.

Our stay at Northorpe was great.
There was a lovely woman who greeted us,
Nice facilities including kettle and fridge which was helpful for milk for the next morning and a great field that my dogs loved!

Fantastic stay, very friendly owners, hot showers and good washing up facilities. Walking distance to Hornsea. Some road noise.
All grass pitches and sheltered from wind by mature hedges.

Quiet rural farm site a manageable walk (15 mins approx) to the town centre & nearest pub. The tarmac footpath alongside Atwick Rd. Seems to be the easiest way on foot. We met the new owners who are chatty & helpful clearly working hard to revive / develop a site that was needy of TLC after closing last year.
Facilities are basic but quite acceptable ie. Elsan point, showers & toilet with a few hook ups in a gently sloping field Plenty of scope to choose where you pitch up with levelling blocks offered by the hosts. A long hook up cable may be useful if you want to be away from the other caravans on this relatively large field.
The site is handy for the town so we'll likely return if any suitably attractive events are going on in Hornsea.

Please note we have been advised that this site has now reopened under new ownership following closure in 2018 . It once again offers camping, motorhome or caravanning pitches. If you know that this situation has changed in the future, please could you let us know. Many thanks

Went here for our first C & CC rally, was not sure what to expect but had a great time. The field was well kept, there was one toilet with a basin and a fresh water tap. The Elsan leaves nothing to the imagination, but serves it's purpose. Good site for an over night stop with basic but fine facilities.
The location is good Skirlington Market is just down the road on Sunday with a big car boot attached. You could walk across the fields to the beach and it is a short drive to Hornsea freeport shopping.
