We stayed 1 night ahead of early start for eurotunnel which was only 10 mins away.
We emailed that morning and got a quick response. When we arrived we asked for a shady pitch and receptionist was really helpful, working out direction of pitch, where the trees were etc.
It was about €19 for one night. They take credit cards. The pitches are huge and the facilities are spotlessly clean.
We spent the evening watching the sunset on the sand dunes with a bottle of red, a nice relaxing end to the holiday knowing the site is so close to the tunnel.

I chose Camping Fort du Lapin because of its proximity to both the beach and to Eurotunnel. I emailed my request several days in advance and received a very speedy response from the receptionist.
I paid on arrival and got the pitch adjacent to the washing up area.
Toilets and showers were both immaculate. The campsite is compact and had quite a number of mobile homes of varying age/size.
There was a good number of motorhomes during my stay, but the site wasn’t full.
The bread van stopped just along from my pitch, and I was able to buy a baguette.
Having been given the access code to the pedestrian gate at the rear of the campsite, I was able to cross over the path and get onto the beach, where my dog had a great time.
One morning I walked along this path towards Sangatte itself, and the beach and digue were very impressive. I managed to catch the local bus (free to everyone, and dogs were accepted) back to the campsite (the bus stops right outside the campsite gates).
Another day, I walked along the main street of Blériot Plage towards Calais port, then I walked back along the beach to the campsite.
Being October, the site was relatively quiet, and what looked to be an on site café/bar was closed, but I noticed a nice restaurant on the main street in Blériot Plage.
There were other bars/restaurants a little further on, as well. (I have stayed at Hotel de la Plage in the past - dogs are accepted, and the food was good, but on this visit, there were no tables set aside for drinks-only, entrance was only for meals, sadly. )
All-in-all, I was extremely happy with Camping Fort du Lapin. It is excellently situated for a very enjoyable stay in the Calais area.
On departure, it only took 10-15 minutes to reach the Eurotunnel terminal, and on the way I passed the large Auchan hypermarket and the service station opposite, as well as a Lidl supermarket.
I’m planning to stay again in April/May 2022, before my return journey to the UK.

Stayed here for 3 nights at the end of our trip in Oct before getting ferry back to Dover. Weather was wet & windy & very few other users on site. Sanitaires were kept very clean & plenty of hot water was available. Site is a good location to start & end your trip if you do not want a long drive before arriving at ferry or if you just want park soon after leaving ferry.
Site is right on the coast with a gate onto beach over dunes & is just outside Calais. Area is quiet but only a short drive to Auchan hyper market & also Lidls. Since we last visited a few years ago there are more mobile homes & there are probably only around 30 touring pitches now so may well get full in peak season. Pitches are at the right hand beach end of campsite so feel quiet & secluded. Pitches are flat grass & easy access straight off tarmac roadway.
Area does have plenty to do & see but most of the rest of France is better though. Was charged 58€ for three nights including electric & cash payment was required. Couple who run the place are friendly & helpful & speak a bit of English.
So a good site for a night or more before or after ferry.

Set just behind the coastal dunes with easy access to huge beaches.
Convenient for Cite Europe shopping and the Euro tunnel Shuttle.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Clean, well maintained and Covid aware.
Will definitely stop here again on the way home in future.

A functional site which we stayed at for one night en route to the tunnel. A good welcome and we were allocated a spacious pitch and told about the secure gate to access the beautiful beach. It felt like a municipal site but without the municipal price as it cost us 18 euros for one night! We decided not to pay 5 euros extra for electricity. The site only takes cash. The toilets were open at 7. 30 in the morning - they were being cleaned but there was access. It was a shame the weather wasn't that good as the beach really is fantastic - but why can't people clean up after their dogs?
Would use again either on arrival or departure from Calais as it is a 10 minute drive to the tunnel.

We stayed 1 night only and it rained most of the time so we didn`t check out the site and area as we might otherwise have done. However, I can update and give additional info to previous reviews which appear to be factual and correct.
1) Reception is closed from 12:00 until 16:00hrs, so don`t arrive at 15:00hrs expecting to get in like we did. There is only room for 2 or 3 units max to queue outside the barrier.
2) Costs for 2017 are 17. 40E for m/home+2, electricity 4. 5E and tax 0. 5E each. Don`t expect to pay by credit/debit card. Cash or cheque only.
3) The main barrier access is 07:00 to 23:00hrs, so ensure you don`t need to leave too early, (pedestrians have 24hr access). The toilets are only open from 08:00 to 21:00hrs. Again, not good for early trains or ferries.
4) This is an area that`s been in the news a lot and that may put some people off, but we felt safe and secure and would come again if only because of the proximity to the channel crossings

The camping Bleriot plage is excellent. Modern, clean facilities. Helpful and welcoming with some european languages. French is the prefered language and surprisingly, English is not widely spoken, even in the tourist office and library (mediatheque) both close by, just turn left out of the camp site towards the village and you are there. Bike hire, PAY to Ride, register with your details by phone, bus stop to Calais, 1 euro directly in front of the campsite, other side of the road to Cite Calais 2 x 1 euros, change at the Cocqelles shopping centre. Busses every 15 mins? from 8 am to 7 pm? no night service.
ATM, cafe, restaurants, Carrefour supermarket in the village. Great butcher for a selection of grated carrot, salad type options to put in a picnic pack, as much or as little as you want. Marinated meats for the BBQ, but no fires on the site or beach. I used my camping stove. BBQ gas kits were used else where by campers and one was offered to me by a neighbouring camper who saw me struggling with my stove. So it is open and friendly. Take some dog treats along with you, watch your step on the beach and in town. A continental approach to natural functions is relaxed.

Spent two days at this wonderful site. Hot 'MAY'2014 clear sky. Excellent clean modern building. Shower/washroom, washing machine etc. Site well laid out lots of room/pitch. All svc's. So peaceful here, birds cheeping away. Calais town bike ride away. Lots of supermarkets shops, fuel, close by.
Owners speak little English. But not a problem. I speak little French. So friendly, lots of info. '' A BIG BONUS. THE DUNES/WONDERFUL SANDY BEACH'', enter to at back of site, secure gate. Cant wait to return. Calais has changed so much, for the better. Peter. Small motorhome.

Great place to stay if you want to stay over before catching ferry. I was going to e mail campsite and complain but alas no address, so here goes.
Polite and very nice people, toilet block clean. Good spacious campsite.
BUT after a long drive did not want to go out again shopping. They do not supply toilet paper, a bit annoying to say the least. There was one door missing on one of cubicles in mens loo. There is only one basin. No hot water. There is plain glass looking straight into mens toilet area showing urinals. We are not all French and we do not all enjoy peeing in public.
Showers are pathetic, you have to push button every 4 seconds before it switches off. This is pretty mean I think. Your forever pressing button to to get a shower. Whats more the shower was locked and unusable by us in the morning at 10 minutes to 8. So we left without showering.
We had no electricity, no paper and no shower for 17 euros. Bad.

We found this site by pure chance after getting fuel at the Auchan just up the road. We arrived at 2 pm, unfortunately the guardian was not there until 4 p. M. , so we parked at the side of the drive, had some lunch, and waited for her return.
The guardian was very pleasant and helpful.
There was a lot of space on the site, which took, Caravans, Motorhomes and Tents, there were holiday homes also on the site some of which you can rent.
Electricity available, taps nearby, and clean toilets, bins available with recycling bins.
The site was secure with a code for entry barrier and for a gate leading to the dunes and a beautiful expanse of beach.
It appeared to have a bar and somewhere for snacks, I assume that this would be open in the high season.
There was a play area for children.
We did not venture far from the site except along the beach.
There was a bus stop right outside the site and Tourist Information next door, which again wasn't open.
You could stay on the site until 12 p. M mid day, so no worry about finding somewhere to bide your time until your due time at the port.
It took us about 10 minutes to get to the ferry terminal and departure from the site.
We are so pleased to have found this site after so many years,
It's a pity it isn't more widely advertised, we did find it afterwards in a French campsite book but it is not under Calais it is under Sangatte.
