I fully agree with the reviews and I never should have gone on a bank holiday. The place was heaving. Units so close together an absolute fire risk. Topped grass with plenty of nettles and weeds

Thankfully weather was pretty good just occasional shower or I’d not have got up the steep bumpy hill

It’s basically a very sloping pair of fields. Bottom field is closed off during wet weather

If the weather had been wet. We’d have been like sardines in top field.

Event was beach gathering, so there were portaloos. Some showers but they were right at the top so I didn’t use them.

The bottom toilets were reasonable. Top ones filthy. Too many people using them. Emptying point looked very basic. I brought my toilet contents home !

The views are absolutely superb

Mid week. Or out of main season. Bet it’s lovely the five electric pitches looked better

Bank holiday heaving. It was closed to anyone else. Lots of extra cars arrived Saturday night though. And extra families squeezed into tents. Parking their cars feet from my little van. Only one handgate down a steep path to the beach

Bus stop right outside and post box

Would I return. No. If you’re just driving. Looking round and it’s quiet. Yes I’d say use it

But as others have said. Weekends I bet it’s rammed. The little sandy beach was heaving when the tide came in. With paddle boards blow up canoes. Wind breaks etc. Great for a cheap family camping weekend. It was £60 for three nights. But for a solo camper like me

Too busy

Beautiful! The views are second to none and the lack of facilities in no way hampers the experience.

However, the cheap pitch price (£15) attracts THAT kind of camper.

It's 20 past 9 and the music, loud chatter, and general rowdiness from the family group that have been drinking all day, just got MUCH louder. This totally spoils what has otherwise been a serene experience :(

What a stunning location. Based right on budle bay we had the most glorious view.

The site is very basic with no toilets or showers and only a few spots with electric hook up.

However this was reflected in the very reasonable price of £20 including the electric.

Eric the site owner went out of his way to help, siting the van for us and even lending us a hook up cable when ours wouldn’t work.

Be warned the field is sloping so levelling blocks may be needed.

We had superb weather and can’t wait to return

This site has remarkable views and is about a 5 minute walk to a beach,

Drinking water is available but has no toilet facilities available which doesn't bother me in the least,

Don't know what its like on weekends but was very laid back chilled environment when we stayed last night,

At 15 pound per night what more could you want 8/10

Been to the area a few times but first time at this site.

If you get the right spot its a glorious view, it is field where you can pitch anywhere and at any angle you want to, we did and we had fab views,

Facilities are bog basic with no bins, so every trip out means finding somewhere to put your rubbish, (hotel bins in Bamburgh)

We loved the site, but beware of weekends! the place gets rammed with VW camper type punters with the ensuing thumpy thump racket going on till the early hours, but if your an old git like me, just get up a bit earlier and take your noisy dogs out for a bimble.

A cramped 5-pitch site with EHU, plus the main sloping 'rally' field without. From the big field the views are fantastic over the bay, a short walk giving direct access.

The site changes dramatically at the weekends from a laid back, relaxed site in the week to becoming really busy at w/e with no restriction on numbers or spacing. It wasn't noisy, just felt completely packed and transformed for the worse.

Facilities: one tap + CDP with poor water supply. No obvious covid measures in place.

£10 a night for a field next to the beach, toilet disposal and water point (both don’t run water at the same time, slightly annoying).

Site is sloping so you need levelling blocks and there are lots of stingy nettles.

It’s about 20 min walk into Bamburgh and there are buses.

Lovely back to basic site literally ion the beach, ideal!

An absolute bargain at £10 per night and a bit of a hidden gem, a short drive on from the regular, busier sites. The location alone is totally worth the trip. Just take levelling blocks with you as the field is on a slope. There are limited facilities - just a tap and waste disposal, so you need to have a loo with you.

This is a very relaxed site where families and dogs are welcome. The views are absolutely stunning across the sea as the site is almost on the cliff edge! You can walk down onto the expansive, sandy beach within 10 minutes- an added bonus.

The owners leave you it for the most part - just pop down to site early morning for payments. Highly recommended if you have a motorhome or caravan.

On arrival and was able to get a pitch for a two man tent for a very reasonable £10 p/n. The site got busy over the weekend so I would advise booking ahead.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. There is a stream which runs alongside the tent pitches, the sound of running water was relaxing.

No issues getting a shower or washing up sink. Ideally placed for Bamburg Castle, Holy Island and the Farne Islands. Wonderful views across the sea as short walk from the site.

We stayed in our motorhome for a few nights on the basic field. It is a sloping, uneven site and levellers are required. There are no facilities except a drinking water tap and toilet disposal which is very basic. We were advised by Billy to empty our grey waste onto the field. There did not appear to be any waste bins for general rubbish so we took it away with us.

The field became very busy over the weekend and unfortunately the peace was disturbed by a large group.

This site is popular because of its location with stunning views across the bay to Lindisfarne and direct access on to the beach.

Make sure you stock up with supplies before you arrive as the nearest small supermarket appears to be in Seahouses.
