 Great campsite in a lovely wee town that has very good amenities on your doorstep. The campsite itself also has great facilities for an extended family stay.
Pitches are large and showers/toilets etc very good and clean.
Security of the campsite is also very good with card entry and a night warden.
We were there during the Euros and the site was packed with well behaved, partying Scottish families so a great time was had by all (apart from the results I’m sad to say).
Electricity and showers were charged separately but we didn’t find this an issue and our overall cost was in line with what we pay at most campsites.
You can take the train to Pforzheim then to Stuttgart from the village.
All in all a very good place to stay.

Very helpful and friendly staff
In a very picturesque location.
Good showers and very clean facilities.
Good secure site also with security gate with fob only access.

Beware using sat nav If coming from Karlsruhe to Pforzheim on A8 – they may route via very ‘challenging’ roads which are unsuitable for caravans. Recommend using the main roads through Pforzheim – busy but well signposted. Then take the B463 to Bad Liebenzell. Entrance to site on left side of road, just past the ‘Welcome to Bad Liebenzell’ sign which is on the right side of the road.
Small parking area on right before site barrier- access card given at reception on checking-in together with Konus card (free travel on bus and rail within the Black Forest). Card also used to enter modern public open air swimming pool. Site owners are pleasant and helpful – language not an issue (Debra is Canadian). The site has a bar, restaurant (Menu also available in English. Daily ‘special board’. Closed Wednesdays. Good choice at reasonable cost), two sanitary blocks, book exchange etc.
Large, open pitches each with 16 amp (metered) electric. The access roads and space from the caravan opposite to your allocated pitch is tight. There are trees at the end of each row and coupled with cars / caravans / awnings can make access difficult for outfits.
Many static / permanent caravans on site. One toilet block looks a little ‘tired’ however both blocks are spotlessly clean. Grass and hedges needed cutting at the time of our visit which gave the (false?) impression of the site being slightly neglected. Very popular with British / German / Belgian and Dutch touring motorhomes / caravans. Accepts ACSI discount card giving reduced site fees and initial 4kw electric (card valid except high season).
Direct access to River Nagold cycle / footpath via turnstile plus separate access to local Lidl supermarket (50 metres from site). Very good views from all pitches.
Excellent walking / cycling area – clearly marked paths. Bad Liebenzell railway station 10 minute walk from site together with town facilities including restaurants and tourist information. Sophi Park and Kurpark are both worth visiting – these are within 10 / 15 minutes’ walk from site.
Trips to Calw (By train) and Tubingen / Kloster Bebenhausen (By car) are recommended.
Reasonably good site situated in a very scenic area – just be careful with access roads!
We would also recommend Ernest Hymer Centre, Sindelfingen for caravan spares (40 minutes by car). Peggy / Michael (Ernest Hymer Centre Sales) made arrangements for a replacement Dometic toilet waste tank to be available for collection within 2 days which enabled us to continue with our planned European tour. We received exceptional service from Peggy and Michael who resolved a difficult and worrying situation that we had at the time.

An overnight stopover at an excellent site. Apart from the weather, raining which made pitch a bit muddy, so could possibly say needed few more paved paths to facilities.
Location to the village, the river, train station excellent Lidl & Netto in easy walking distance. Welcomed by owner, who is Canadian so spoke excellent English & gave us advice of where to eat & what to see. Toilet /shower facilities were excellent, lovely & warm room, 3 minute showers plenty of time. Showers cubicle quite big, in fact best shower I'd had over previous 3 weeks of visiting different sites in Europe!
All in all a very pleasant stay & would not hesitate in returning, hopefully in better weather as the area looks very pretty & would like to explore further

Very nice site on the northern edge of the Black Forest, with large pitches and unmetered 16A electricity. As previous reviewers have said, ignore the satnav and use the main road from Pforsheim to Calw, site is just off this road next to the local swimming pool, and between Netto and Lidl.
Very friendly reception, English spoken and help with siting if you need it. Pitches are flat & grassy, and only moderately muddy after all the recent rain. Facilities are spotless, everything provided & showers (free) are timed for 3 mins water flow using multiple pulses.
Restaurant is currently undergoing refurbishment so the food/drink is served in a giant tepee - lovely inside and quite atmospheric. Good choice of food at reasonable prices. There are quite a lot of 'permanent' caravans on the site, but all are well cared for and the people we spoke to were very friendly. Children's playground looks in good condition & attractive.
Local tax is €2. 39 pp, per day but this pays for a Guest card, which gives free travel on any train/bus within the whole of the Black Forest for the duration of your stay - a fantastic saving. It also gives you discounts on spa visits etc.
Riverside walking and cycling paths start from the site and you have free use of the municipal pool complex next door, which looks lovely (we didn't use it). Very good for a night halt, or even better for an extended stay.

Lovely quiet site in a small town, great washing and laundry facilities and showers very modern and clean with the added bonus of toilet roll and soap which is provided.
The town is small but with the free train and bus service within the Black Forest it was not a problem to pop to near towns such as Calw and Nagold for shopping trips.
The site is ideally located for food shopping as it has a Netto at one end of the site and a Lidl at the other. The adjacent community swimming pool was awesome, our children loved it, aged 4, 6, 7.
There was also free crazy golf up near the town hall over the beautiful river Nagold. The town hall had free music concerts while we were there which were a lovely bonus on a walk into town during the day.
There is also a lovely play park in the town park. Totally agree with previous comments ignore Satnav which wants to take you through narrow roads with 2 1/2 ton limits in Phforzheim, stick to main road previously mentioned from Pfhorzheim to Bad Leibenzell.
Totally recommend getting bus or train to Bad Wilbad to visit the tree top walk, it was amazing. The site had quite a few long term static caravans which wasn't a problem.
The site also had a lovely play park and tennis courts.

16 amp electricity is always a plus in November in the Black Forest - this campsite didn't disappoint in that respect. We stayed three days.
Clothes washing facilities are excellent - cheap at 3 euros to wash clothes and 3 to dry (2 hours).
When we were there they were in the middle of refurbishing the facilities and the WIFI set up had suffered as a result (the workers had accidentally cut the cable). The shower/toilet block was heated and although the shower was limited to 3 minutes - it was enough.
Very near supermarkets so great for shopping.
I agree with one of the previous reviewers - the Satnav should be ignored and following the road to Pforzheim is far better to get to the motorway.
Although ACSI discount applies - the local government requires an extra 2. 39 euros per person per night for the Spa facilities.
Great walks for the dog.

Just enjoyed 5 nights on this campsite with a Motorhome Rally -
Good location within the small town although has been mentioned several buildings are being redeveloped and at present closed -
The facilities are okay - Showers with 3 minute timer.
The campsite offers a free rail/bus pass for the Black Forest area - We made several train journeys and considered this a real bonus.
Deborah and her husband are very helpful at the Reception and went out of their way to help.

Regenbogen Bad Liebenzell is a lovely site on the edge of the Black Forest and situated on the banks of the River Nagold. We were disappointed with the town as the vast majority of hotels and restaurants are closed, we were told due to Health Service cutbacks by the German government. It felt like a town still very much in the grip of recession. That said, it is very quaint and lovely for a stroll down the river bank and a stop for a coffee near the beautiful park.
The booking process was very simple, carried out in English via email. We were allocated pitch no. 129 which backed on to the river. None of the pitches are cramped and all looked spacious - if you are used to camping in France as we are, the size of all of the pitches in Germany will come as a pleasant surprise! However if you wish to receive a satellite signal, then you may wish to request a pitch further away from the river bank as the trees block all signal.
We hired a private bathroom facility for our week long stay and although we had some drainage problems, these were quickly resolved.
We had a few meals at the on-site restaurant and which were lovely and Debra is a great host. The only meal we ate out was at a local pizzeria which was also very pleasant.
The nearest supermarkets are Lidl & Netto, at either end of the site but be aware, as far as we could find, these are the only food shops in Bad Liebenzell, after a few days the choice felt very limiting.
The pool facilities are not actually on the site but are a municipal facility next door (free entry via the campsite). Our boys 16/16/13 years declared it the 'best ever' and were more than happy to spend a full day in there.
A lovely stay, unspoilt by the quietness of the town. An added bonus is the free local bus & rail travel. Please be aware, this site is not longer a Eurocamp site so is very peaceful!

To Find Site:- From Pforzheim take 463 to Bad Liebenzell. ( You might want to ignore your sat nav as it’s likely to take you down some narrow roads) As you enter Bad Liebenzell the campsite is on the left immediately after the municipal swimming pool. Unlike many German sites they do not close at lunchtime.
Regenbogen camp is situated on the edge of the Spa town of Bad Liebenzell so is conveniently placed for those wanting to provision up on the way through Germany. It is also an ideal spot to linger for a few days or longer, we found the campsite quite peaceful despite being busy at times. It seems that the site has been much improved in recent years since a change of ownership.
There are around 160 pitches which are all on grass and of a good size. Like most German sites a fair proportion of pitches are taken up with seasonal customers although unlike some sites the seasonal pitches are maintained to a high standard by their owners no doubt encouraged by the site management. Electric connections are via CEE17 blue plugs and the supply rated at 16 amps which is fully inclusive in the per night price. Water taps are provided at regular intervals throughout the site.
There are two toilet blocks, the one at the far end of the site is one of the originals and whilst perfectly clean and functional is somewhat dated in interior appearance. The second block of the same vintage has been converted into family bathrooms which can be hired separately.
Adjacent to this is a completely new block of prefabricated construction but is top notch in the facilities it offers. All toilets are seated and have paper provided in the cubicles. There is a motorhome service point tucked away at the end of the site and not the easiest to get into by longer units. Although not open during our stay there appears to be a small bar/restaurant on site with a room for children’s entertainment. Reception sells a few essentials.
For children there is a play area and for older ones a tennis court and ball area. The site does not have its own swimming pool but of course the municipal one is right next door and a little further away is the Spa if you wish to spoil yourself. We were particularly impressed by the level of helpfulness provide by all members of the campsite team.
During the low season the site accepts the ACSI discount card and payment can be made by credit card. The site normally offers WiFi but this was unfortunately not available during our stay. Immediately outside the campsite is a motorhome Aire which is available with electrics for a much reduced rate, however Aire users can’t make use of the campsite facilities.
Bad Liebenzell is only a short stroll away from the campsite, most of the lower town is quite modern but the older part is up near the church. Reception will provide a list of the various Spas in the area and also town plans.
There is quite a chunk of local tax added to the normal ACSI daily charge but this goes towards providing benefits to guests, in the form of a discount card, which far outweigh the initial extra cost. This includes the free use of public transport within quite a wide area and discounts at various establishments.
Shopping from the site is easy as there is a Lidl right next door and a Netto the other side of the swimming pool. There is a filling station on the road opposite the campsite.
There are lots of walking/cycling opportunities direct from the campsite
