Lovely and peaceful.
Glad of instructions as there is a longish single track up to the site.
Well situated for visiting Carlisle, the lakes and Hadrian's wall.
Best shower I've experienced on a caravan site too!
Will be back.

Found site quite easily, long lane up to camping area, so glad of instructions. Pitch had bench at back and tap nearby.
New shower and loo in outbuilding. They have plans to build new toilet block next year, and have already laid out access to pitches in adjoining field.
Due to heavy drizzle couldn't see the view, but seems would be peaceful place to stay.
Price upper end for CL.

Quiet site. the only toilet/sink not clean, the shower was good but also dirty. The toilet did not flush so had to keep filling a bucket. The people who came in tents complained the grass was too long so stayed wet.
This could be a fantastic little site but for these issues. Even putting just a screw in toilet roll holder so it didn't fall off the wall or the time ot a coat of paint on toilet walls would make a big difference.

A flat pitch with water by every space, good views out. Quite a long rough entrance to the site.
Bathroom with one electric shower £1 and loo, clean tidy in a building through gate.
Very quiet area, could have some interesting cycle rides but far too wet at present, shame.
Carlisle not far away with ASDA store straight off M6 Jc 44.
Had to ring up to see anyone and pay on site.

Great hideaway site. Beautiful views over the cumbrian fells. Quiet and peaceful. Just 15 minutes from Carlisle, 10 minutes from the M6.
The shower and toilet block is spacious and very clean.
Dog friendly, walks from the site.
Owners are very accommodating and upgrading the toilets, and pitches
Highly recommended if you want to get away from it all

Lovely peaceful site with level hardstanding pitches. Great views. Electric and water on each pitch.
Really friendly owner, he is talking about expanding, hope he does.
About 10 minutes drive from the M6, so great stop off for Scotland.
Will use again.
Full recycling. Good TV signal. Three and Vodafone data signal good. EE really fast.
£20 with electric

Lovely, well maintained site in a peaceful setting. Easy to find and convenient location.
Only one Toilet and shower. It was OK as only a few people used the facilities. Heard that the owners are adding a second shower and toilet.
Would recommend.

This is a lovely site and I would very happily stay there again in the future. Owners have done some work to improve the pitches and the farm track approach to the site.
The mature trees that bordered the site have been trimmed back (gives better views, more sunlight and less stuff dropping on your caravan roof)
There is plenty of space on the site and each hardstanding pitch has its own tap and electric point. There is also a lawn which could be used as a play area for young children.
There is a toilet shower block (which was closed due to covid restrictions) which is a handy addition for a CS.
Its about 7 miles from the site to Carlisle (about 6 miles from site to M6) and roads are quiet enough for a pleasant cycle.
If in a caravan - a motor mover is handy so that you can position your caravan front first for the best views.
