Based on my experience, Hall Barton Organic Farm campsite scores an unsurpassed all-star rating for a number of reasons.
After years of campervan travelling in the UK and abroad, I can say that this exquisite campsite is without a doubt one of the best I have ever had the pleasure of staying at.
The peace and serenity of the land itself, which is instantly discernable upon arrival, gives the distinct feel of a sacred space, and the picturesque farmland has a simple beauty about it that is quintessential Cornwall at its finest.
There is a distinct 'hidden-away' feel to Hall Barton Farm, yet it is positioned ideally close not only to shops and the local Jubilee Inn, but also to other nearby villages and towns such as Polperro, Looe, Fowey and Liskeard. Close to the campsite there are numerous wooded valleys, forested areas and megalithic standing stone circles to explore, and of course the many miles of stunning beaches and cliff paths that Cornwall is so well known for.
The Farm has its own pure spring (drinking) water source. This water is crystal clear and no doubt has health-giving, healing properties! 😃
The simple, no frills campsite facilities (toilets, showers and washing up area) are well maintained and kept impeccably clean. The hot showers are, as they say in Cornwall, proper good - they are free-flowing and not of the coin-for-a-minute variety.
The idyllic Shepherd's Huts and Pod, which feel far more spacious inside than they appear externally, are well built and tastefully designed with all amenities provided for a very comfortable stay including TV, heating, hot water, mini stove/oven and Habitat kitchen equipment and crockery. A separate toilet and solar-warmed shower room, ingeniously converted from a horse box, is situated next door, (shower really good on hot sunny days).
The very lovely and personable owner-managers, Jen and Giles, are always reachable either by phone/text or in person and they always deal with any query or request promptly, efficiently and with genuine courtesy and friendliness. When staying I was always made to feel very welcome.
The competitive pitch rates for campers and tents are also very reasonable - lower than other campsites I know of in the area. Another plus worth noting is that, whilst many campsites close for the winter, Hall Barton is open year round.
Overall Five Stars

Lovely small and quiet camp site, with the cleanest and most well cared for portaloo I've ever seen! They even provided toilet roll, handwash, washing up liquid and surface cleansing spray, even though we were on a non - electric pitch for one night.
The host was a wonderfully friendly lady who was very informative.
Will definitely be staying again!

Brilliant campsite, hook ups, washing up facilities, 2 showers and toilets. Lots of space.
Very friendly, helpful owner who replies to emails quickly.
Ideal spot for Looe, Talland Bay and Polperro.
Would recommend and definitely go back.

Following an online recommendation, I booked a pitch at Hall Barton with an EHU for my Husband, myself and 2 dogs and I’m certainly glad I did!
From the initial booking, right through to travelling up on the day, Jen couldn’t have been more accommodating and helpful.
We stayed there in our large tent for 8 nights and it was our first time visiting the area.
There are only 5 pitches with an EHU in the top paddock which also has the Shepherd Huts so it was beautifully quiet, each pitch is extremely spacious and we also had a drinking water tap on our pitch too which was very handy.
The site itself is basic which we loved, nice views over the top paddocks with the gorgeous grazing Zwartble Sheep and the village of Pelynt.
The Shower block was always spotlessly clean with plenty of nice hot water and well lit, it was also a pleasure washing up being surrounded by the lovely fragrant Clematis plants!
The site is ideal for well behaved dogs with a nice 45 minute ‘evening’ walk directly from the site and plenty of easy access to the SW coastal path, just 10 minutes from the coast and the quaint towns of Polperro and Looe, a great central location for exploring the rest of Cornwall.
You can find two well stocked supermarkets a 5 minute walk away and also a lovely craft store up the driveway which has some lovely plants for sale too, there are also a couple of pubs a few minutes walk from the site too.
I also loved being surrounded by all the visiting wildlife there, a credit to the organic pastures and Jen and Giles’s ethos, there were butterflies, birds and bugs a plenty along with ‘Bert’ our resident herring gull and two hedgehogs that we spotted pottering around at night! I really couldn’t fault our stay there and really hope to visit again soon.
Jen was an absolute star and made us feel so welcome throughout our stay, thank you so much! 🙏🙂

Had 7 nights on this campsite. It is right in the village so very
Handy to walk into for any shopping. The Premier shop is 100yds away! There is a nice pub within walking distance that serves good meals at reasonable cost.
Site is small with two showers and toilets for the 5 pitches. Clean but basic. Nice hot water and washing up sink. Very friendly owners who welcomed us immediately.
Site where caravans are is reasonably flat and grass nicely cut.
Great site for visiting the lovely seaside town of Polperro and Looe. Bus stop just 50yd from campsite.
Thoroughly recommend.

Niggly issues with electrics, and no washing up facilities. Though we felt our hosts are still learning as new-bees. Understandably things take time.
Site not level but not beyond self levelling.

So lovely and quiet and small.
Ticks all the boxes for us.
Great location 5 miles from looe which is lovely, and not too far from quite beaches. Shop 2 mins walk away! Handy!
Clean toilets and hot showers, friendly owners. Lots of places to visit and coastal walks. Finally !
The big plus was tv reception for the euros now all we need is not to be knocked out!

A warm welcome from the owner explained the local pub, butchers and how close Looe & Polperro are to the site.
A small certified site with clean & tidy facilities on a working organic farm,
Lovely place to stay.
