Fantastic little place. Prefect to just be left to your own device and nor is it to expensive. Owners are very friendly and happy to help. You was able to pitch up where you wished.
Only a few down sides. We couldn't pay with card there only cash which lent having to find a cash point but now we know we can take cash next time.
The was no hot water to wash up with and the toilets and showers could do with a bit of a upgrade

From the moment we arrived, the on-site staff were extremely helpful. Nothing too much and always ready to help.
Campsite is definitely quirky, and accommodation is varied. Albeit you can have a Campervan on site, other accommodation is a mix of old huts, gypsy caravans, old double decker bus, a restored Wessex helicopter, (very popular), VW campers. , plus a few Glamping pods.
Campsite adjoins an antique emporium called the “Cowshed”. An absolute restoration searchers dream.

Awesome campsite and great location!”
LOVED this place! This is a truly unique campsite - quirky, friendly, pretty, gentle, fun. You will never stay anywhere quite like it and, like us, you will want to return again and again. My 6yo wants to camp here 'every year forever'!
The facilities are amazing - and the little social hub of bonkers BBQ, Spudomatic, cozy firepit and massively well-equipped Caterator kitchen mean that everyone gently hooks up together over burgers and s'mores as easily as all the children becoming instant buddies. I loved the OMO Reliant Robin launderette and the Showershack deserves its own website :D!
If you're not lucky enough to stay in Galahad - the Westland Wessex Helicopter, you'll probably be able to blag a nose inside - either between guests or from the totally smitten occupants. It's awesome!
Imagine Caractacus Potts getting together with George Clarke to design a little campsite for big kids and you have an idea of the treats in store here.
There is wi-fi, but you'll be so laid back you probably won't use it much and the kids won't want their ipads much either when there is (I think) the actual Night Garden boat near the firepit to have pirate adventures in.
Stewart and Rhys are wonderful and generous hosts. In fact, Stewart went truly above and beyond the call of duty when this feeble female couldn't figure out how to put my eBay bike carrier onto the car, so after a few fruitless attempts at consulting Google, he came to the rescue with about a mile of parachute strapping and we just lashed it & bike to my trailer - sorted!
Think we just found our 'forever campsite' for the summer holidays - I'll be booking again for 2018 soon.
There is nothing at all to dislike - apart from having to go back home at some point.

So if you want 5* glamping this is not for you. However you would be missing out. Visiting this site is A MUST if you like the quirky, mad and down right ingenious! Yep it looks a bit like the Beverly Hillbillies but that's the point. Stewart is a star where he gets his ideas from is any ones guess but I love it. I never stopped smiling and having a couple of beers round the fire pit with him in the rain was an absolute pleasure. As for the Reliant OMO what can I say!

We have just returned from a wonderful holiday, This campsite really made our break special. Stewart was very welcoming, ringing his mobile number (number on gate at arrival) Stewart came straight away, told us about site and gave us a choice of pitch. Site really quirky, Shower shack worth a visit, shower block and toilets, always immacutely clean, children love the little boat to play in! barbecue and pizza oven were there to use, coals firefighters included, .
Near to Newport and a nice cycle route to Cowes.
Highly recommend this site, and if there are any helicopter fans out there they would love to stop in the helicopter accommodation which is a real helicopter. Stewart is a genius to make thus site so individual and welcoming I wish all sites were like this!
In a nut shell, small, welcoming, perfect 10 out of 10. Only wish my boys could have come here when they were young they would have loved it.

By far this is the best site I have been on.
Very friendly and helpful, toilets and showers always clean whatever time of day or night.
I wish we had come here when our boys were young, they would have loved it.
We were in our camper, but loved the look of quirky camping pods and sheds, even a helicopter
With a quirky communal cooking area. Has to be seen.
The site had all the facilities we required, as shops aren't to far away.
Nice small, quite site, in a central position for site seeing, also great for cycling, once in Newport some good safe cycle paths. And others all around the island
Once again I would recommend if you like clean quite sites.

Where do I start? BRILLIANT! We have never been to such an original qwirky site and sure we never will again. The guy who runs it has created it all. The showershack is a must if you visit this site. There are also very modern and clean facilities for those who don't want to use the showershack. There is a fire pit where you can sit round undercover and even the wood is provided. There is a washing up sink, microwave, fridge freezer for campers to use.
The site is central for getting around the island.
Lovely small and peaceful site would definitely recommend it, a lot of thought has gone into this site to make it different. Well done to all 😊

An absolute gem of a campsite, very clean, comfortable and friendly. Beautiful walks, ideal for family's with or without a dog. Perfect place for a quiet break. Highly recommended. We stayed in a shepards hut which was very well equipt clean and very comfortable. Toilets always clean and the owner was always available in case you needed anything. The camp is in a beautiful setting right next to Carrisbrook Castle, with a pub within easy walking distance which served excellent food. There are Chickens running around the campsite so it has that real farm feel about it.

A great place to stay if you enjoy quirky and quiet places. The owner is very welcoming and has provided everything you see in the pictures, Showershack, kettle, microwave, pizza oven and loads of firewood for Big Bertha!
Just check the postcode and don't let your Sat Nav take you through the two fords
