Back for my annual visit and enjoying the site to its fullest, the change of warden is noticeable as the site has never been better run with everything spotlessly clean and the grounds well tendered.
They almost became a victim of their own success as they have gone through periods where they were very busy but with the warden keeping on top of everything and cheerfully aiding all it’s been a great season.
Great value for money and central to all attractions make this a great choice with a straight rd to the ferry as well.

Sadly when we arrived they had no record of our booking! The campsite was jam packed with everyone on top of each other. Eventually we were put onto a pitch. There are no defined spaces so you are literally on top of each other.
The site is full of residential caravans and is run down and housing some interesting chargers!
On a positive note the showers are electric so they are hot with good power but they are dated and were not clean, neither were the toilets.
Then to top it all a family of gypsy's arrived and caused havoc. They were noisy and unruly.
The warden Jim was polite and helpful but sadly we will never return to this site.

I found it peaceful and not to far off the beaten track
The showers were nice and warm although the pressure lacked a little oomph
The warden was very helpful
We are staying on longer as it suits us well

Not far of the main road, quiet location

Countryside location is good
A bit over priced for what it is as no shop nearby, need take bus
Has public house that serves food, very nice pub, busy at times

Here I am once again on my annual visit to my home town for the season and it’s very refreshing to note the pleasant changes that have occurred over winter.
New warden who has made immense changes for the better with improvements in every aspect of the site, everything is clean, tidy and in good working order and I’m enjoying my stay as I always do.
The quiet and rustic setting is great for relaxing and escaping life’s hustle and bustle and great for the kids as it’s a safe environment for them to run about enjoy themselves.

The site is well located in the village. The host and the hostess were very helpful.
The spot we were given was a clean grass field with an electrical hookup.
However, to get to the grass field you have to go through a narrow row of static caravans used by local workers.
The facilities are extremely basic and shabby. The dishwashing sink had a faulty hot tap that couldn't be turned off easily.
One day, we arrived there to find that the previous user couldn't turn the tap off and all the hot water had gone down the drain.
The men's toilet was not very clean and was flooded most of the time while we were there. The ladies toilet was fine. One (out of two) of the men's showers didn't work and there was no notice to indicate that. I only found out when I stood underneath it!
Will we recommend it? Probably not.

Easy access to the site from the main road and close to public transport into Plymouth.
Although always clean, the toilet and shower facilities were very tired and dated.
The site was quiet but, as it was also a site for long term pitches for workers, there were a lot of cars coming and going. The wardens were very friendly.
It sufficed us well for a short stay to see family in Plymouth but we wouldn't choose this site for a relaxing stay.
